feck sake rats i had to go get my glasses. its looking great. wont be long before you have the dogs in by the look of it. i would love a set up like that. QUALITY
i work on farms in construction and the health and safety is a joke. we build towers and pits a lot of the newer settups we build a concrete tank below the building. a much better idea altogether. a lot of farms are still going with the lagoon systems. these with the size of modern farms are huge holding millions of litres . very dangerous enviroments farms. its good to bear this in mind when hunting them. keep safe and allways do your homework before letting your dog loose around farmsteads. keep safe.
i agree that it is capable of taking really great shots. but i sold a canon 350D with three lenses for that. and to be honest you could get a brand new entry level camera for not much more. canon or nikon. for not much more i would hold out for a better deal i also like the fifty lens. and the first thing i bought for my little nikon was a fifty hope you get sorted
go DSLR. if at all possible. ive tried top quality compacts . and bridge camera's. ive also tried the hybred camera's. none have the versitility of the DSLR. try the second hand market buy one and if you settle with it. you can add to it or upgrade at a later date.
they are the type i think they will be cheep and nasty. mass produced. its just the retro look and happy memories. i remember the bone would warm in your hand . i think reproducing a similar knife with the same look but of a very good quality and a smaller blade would be interesting
googled this image. this was the sort of handle. although the blade on mine was shorter.
this i used to make tent pegs . play splits . and poke the fire. i never did an awefull lot of skinning with it as my gat gun. never killed anything. although it very nearly killed my mate when he kidded on to shoot himself and the end of the barrel shot out against his temple .
the love of my life was a bone handle scout knife it was my pride and joy. everyone wanted a proper sheath knife when i was a kid. i think they where antler come to think of it.
i passed the word on to a few guy,s out blairhall and oakley way mate plus i work near there so i,m looking out as well atb bri
f**k me there are some bangers around oakley. .. ive been watching out that way also and through carnock gowkhall etc.
another wee thought. everyone with a terrier. beat a path to the doors of all the (greats) middleton /gould/nuttal/chapman. and so on. did these fellows. noted producers of quality working terriers turn most of them away.???. i doubt it. did they breed tightly amongst themselves no. did they cull hard no, have they produced a lot of good dogs. they most definately have. most peds have terriers from these folk . so what was there secret of success. is it numbers /variation. luck. or carefull breeding..? rs
i would just set the slope with your side shutterers. and screed it across these boards. tamp it and screed it to get plenty cream up then hand float it . i wouldnt do a level area for the kennel shed. i would make ajustments to your kennel and keep the slope across the whole of your run. that just my personal choice as it means fluids will run off and not lie anywhere.
i personally dont have a stud dog. and believe what your saying to be a matter of individual choice. do you think that tighter bred terriers produce better success rates than worker to worker. scatter bred. terriers. i'm just poseing the questions as a matter of interest .
if i had a very good well bred terrier. i would cover most working bitches with it as i feel it would improve the stock and open the gene pool.
that is my thoughts on the matter
i really should change it to rustyshovel. your spot on. as i am with the fact that the majority of terriers worked to ground are bred by local lads amongst each other. and in most cases a good dog will be used to cover the majority of working bitches not just the best of them
hats off to hickory for honest posts. like he says his dogs his yard his choice not everyone has the same idea's. but everyone with idea's tend to think they are right. its all about opinions. and refreshing reading its dishonesty that is the bane of the dog world generally generated by folk wanting to be (THE MAN). .
