sassy. plummer terrier bitch
-
its basically to asses the pups before going into the field with them. in this country it would be classed as baiting. but this vid wasnt made here. i'm always open to different peoples idea's and like to see how hunting is done in different places. if its for me or not. is beside the point. most folk from other countries get a lot of stick on here becouse they do thing different. and this spoils it for the ones that like to see these posts. why are terrier folk so narrow minded in the UK. ....?. EACH TO THERE OWN I SAY. THANKS FOR SHARING.

This is not a dig, but a genuine question............why is the fate of the working Plummer supposedly so tied in with committees & club protocol? Surely individuals who are genuine about producing working stock can act independently? I know nothing of the situation with these dogs & I'm not a club type of person, so it seems an alien concept to me, that a working dogs future can be so governed by committees....... the working plummer isnt . any individual can breed whatever they like. as a breed the plummer is in trouble but this need'nt effect the working plummer. unless of co

there aint many that can be dug to, never was. That's nothing that couldn't be sorted in a generation, The wrong outcross was used with no thought of earthwork, WM i must admit to liking the outcross dogs. ive a couple of them and they suit my needs fine. Ace is outcross.. i personally think the outcross program should have been followed by by a good working terrier outcross . but thats just my opinion.
-
its not right to put up folks details or to give them out.on the www. i'm sure you understand that
-
Still didn't answer my question? You must be a know it all then? Quit to pull folk down you don't even know ive a wheaten cross and i wouldnt couldnt tie him close to another dog.. you need a bleedin shotgun to part em if they get at each other.

Used no dog from yorkshire in my smooth line mate ..Did use one from yorkshire on a bitch from another line but never produced any bitches with any size .But then the dogs owner keeps mainly dogs probably no scientific reason for this but the best pups i produced came from strong bitches..always liked a strong doggy sort of bitch to breed from. ive no breeding plans at the moment. one bitch i would have liked something out of . but looks very unlikely now.

a runt is a poor do'er. there is generally a reason for that. if its just a little un. go for it
-
there is a dog called Ace being used a lot. he is throwing small but strong terriers.
-
not as much as i would like to daz . but yes one of my plummers is used to ground when needed.
-
IVE BOUGHT AND SOLD ON THIS SITE. NO PROBLEMS WHATSO EVER

Plummers are the same as any terrier breed . you need to take your time to find stock of your liking .there are folk breeding them for all types of work . as in all breeds some are breeding them for cosmetic reasons alone. there are folk that want to KC register them and folk who oppose this. i would be more likely to advise you to look for the ability of the dogs more than the size. again as in all breeds there are the big uns. a lot of these where from the infusion of bull terrier. and there are small mousy little things some of these are from tightly bred lines. so as you can see they

good on her i say. if you get on her you would have to roll twice to get off. she is very good on that pole though

i am of the opinion that a good line cant be produced in one lifetime. the best lines are strains that have gone through many generations. and are being perpetuating . some for the better and some not so. the old lines do need protecting so these are a great place to start. donnie has some fine smooth russells its to be hoped they land in good hands.for a few generations yet. i have pics in a book in the 1800s of russells and they aint much different to the ones of today. enjoying this thread.
