  2. i also have a half cross from parr stuff. similar type. solid looking dog
  3. 10 terriers not seen that many at a show never mind on a set must be a lot of clowns where you live mate lol well said Lot of clows all over. Was an exaggeration but you know what I mean. FTB
  4. there was a few russells up this way went back to ted adsetts dogs i had a bitch that was bred from them in the eighties. very small but well made little dogs. i think helen jones had one or two that went back to them also. blood will be long gone now did chapman not have some os his stuff years back?
  5. plummer. not on thr list. and russell. mostly topwork nowadays
  6. old timer do a handy little sheath with a gut hook. good quality. ive never liked the opinals. they do take a good edge but lose it just as quick. the steel is to brittle. buck knifes are a good knife and ideal for what you want it for. if your budget is 50. use it and get the best you can.
  7. oi hepher wind yer neck in there's feck all wrong with jackanory. the reason folk ask if the big fox give the dog stick is probably becouse often the big dog foxes dont put up as much resistance as a little vixen. i thought it was a good sensible topic well done tdj
  8. Especially fuckers from Greenhills....
  9. very nice type. much to early to enter a young russell in my opinion. but fingers crossed for you
  10. yea i remember them. i would read anything in those days. there wasnt much reading about and the www wasnt up and running then there was a fella used to write under the name of saxon in one of them what mag was it?
  11. cant add much to that. good enjoyable read. and i can relate to some of it sad early end to a promising young bitch.
  12. ive got one i gave it to a friend to have a look at it for me. and hav'nt seen him since. so they must be ok
  13. well we are out in it all hours. layed twelve lorries of concrete yesterday. putting up feed barriers and gates/doors tomorow life goes on here. the last two winters are the only bad ones in the last twelve. in scandinasa you can just about set your watches on the snow coming at the same time most years
  14. the way to do it is to breed terrier to terrier with the correct size. if you try to breed for small terriers you will get terriers that are to small and get pushed about. breed for average sized terriers and you will get just that. there will allways be variations in size and thats where i would want to source a smaller dog. or a larger dog for that matter. whippet is a non starter as far as i'm concerned worker to worker from workers. bred for the job
  15. sorry mate i cant help you there. try putting a wanted thread in livestock. or a thread in the lurcher section. good luck i hope you get sorted.

  18. had some russells off steve. a few years ago. good little fox dogs they where
  19. i have allways wanted a straight deerhound. but it wouldnt suit the way i hunt. i just like em.
  20. be interested in this cross if anyone has any thoughts. or pics
  21. not the best place to rehome a shy biter. it sounds hard but sometimes a trip to the vets is better for the dog than rehoming it if your fond of the dog you should think of what will happen to it if it tries to bite in its new home/s. sometimes you have to be cruel to be kind. good luck in whatever you decide
