  3. That is a problem with this type of forum. Just too many people posting bull sh!t. Nice fish, nice dog etc, when people are starting out they need the truth. How are they ever going to progress if they are not told the truth? In his case he is being ripped off as they are selling fish that quite frankly, are inedable, just to make a fast buck. What ever disipline of country sports you chose, it's a learning curve when you start off, you will progress a lot quicker when someone tells you the truth instead of the usual platitudes of nice fish etc. That is my take on it. 4. That's a bit rough mate, youre observations are correct, but not really necessary, the guys proud of his lad and rightly so,and the lads clearly happy with the fish...you can only catch whats there and we don't all have access to wild brownies sipping mayflies during the evening hatch Well done that lad Real classy knocking a young lads catch, what does it matter to you what the fish looks like? The words miserable old fekker spring to mind........ Right you are all telling me I am having a go at the lad, read the op again only properly this time. The lad did not catch the f
  5. Are you putting them both in at the same time? As I was told lime and manure should be added at different times as each if added together they cancel each other out in benifits to the soil. Are you putting the ash where you are going to plant potatoes next year? From what I have read it is not a good idea as the ash raises the PH levels of the soil to the detrement of the potatoes. The brasicas will enjoy the ash though. TC
  6. I had the snip 23 years ago never affected me. I think TC

The best way of finding out what your mesh size is keep it as a diamond and measure from the top knot to the bottom knot. All net sizes will be nominal in feet and inches as all nets are made in metric sizes these days. What we call 4" is actually 100mm mesh which equates to a 3 15/16ths inch mesh in old imperial measurements. First off 6/8ths is actually 3/4 of an inch. Measure the net in mm I think you will find it is 100mm on the diamond knot to knot. If that is the case? With 331 meshes you will have 18 and a bit yards of rigged netting set by half the stretched length. The fo
  8. Well, if I am to be honest the thought of that problem had not even entered my head when thinking about the problems that arise from using a heavy line. In my defence. I was trying to think how I could explain how the lines switch from top to bottom lines. You are 100% correct in what you are saying, I think that Banter will know it's not a dig, it is just a good imformative post giving information that will help some on here if they take it in. There is such a wealth of knowledge with the posters on the longnetting forum and every, and I mean every post is intended to help someone. No bra
  9. The traditional net has evolved over the years to become the net it is today. It's not perfect, but with a little though and a little inginuety will be usable in most situations. When you start change the format of the net like adding leadline and the such, it changes the dynamics of the net and usually causes more problems than it solves. Take Banters net, he used a 3mm line on one side of the net as that is all he had at hand, nothing wrong with that, but it does cause the problem in that he can only shoot the net one way with the heavier line as the foot line. Most experienced nette
  10. Found it it's called text enhance virus. http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=2&ved=0CDMQFjAB&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.2-spyware.com%2Fremove-text-enhance-virus.html&ei=eMo2UuflJ_CR7AbZ6YG4DQ&usg=AFQjCNFE8Uh1HGhlbnb7QZadiiq7xHxoqA&bvm=bv.52164340,d.bGE&cad=rja TC
  11. Done a cleanup with SAS and Glary utilities registery cleaner, nothing found? It's got me puzzled and I can't remember how I done it before. I have tried googling the problem but cant get a relevant answer. (probably not using the right keywords ironically.) TC
  12. Is anyone else having these on thier screen on here? I had them before but was able to get rid of them. This time though I have cleared cookies but they will go, it's doing my head in. How do you get rid of them? It's only on here that they are appearing. TC
  13. Yet again another WOW photo.
  14. Try just knicking them with a knife just below the rib cage then put your two index fingers in and pull apart. To gut a rabbit properly you need a really sharp knife so you do not need to excert pressure for it to cut. TC
  15. All rabbits do it. if the do not eat them they will become very sick.....it's not actual poop, it's cecalsRabbits have a large cecum, which is a blind pouch located at the junction of the small intestine and the large intestine, where the digestible portions of the intestinal contents enter and are broken down by bacteria. Some nutrients are absorbed through the wall of the cecum, but most nutrients are locked up in the bacteria. The rabbit then produces bacteria-rich droppings called ecotropes, which are softer, stickier, greener and have a stronger odor than the regular waste droppings.
  16. 2mm will be fine. Far better than 3mm. TC
  17. Sorry, but I am going to upset you now. That is one sorry excuse for a trout, it has no tail and is a barrel of lard. Another example of profit over quality. TC
  18. No please do.... Atleast that would have a f*****g morsel of interest instead of this pish!! Lol And yet you keep coming back labradoodle... Come on lab, what's your take on the cosmos? LOL If it does not contain labs, cider or fence posts it does not exist? TC
  19. Course it does mate. Time is as real as gravity, speed and distance. Just the other ones I mentioned we can actually see them working. Time for us is a clock on the wall but its far more complex than that. The problem with Time though is that we don't understand the mechanism for it, like space it's more fundamental than gravity, speed etc. The mechanism for the forces of nature are force carrying particles, speed is described by distance and time. But time and space are fundamental, they're b*****ds to explain because of that. Entropy increases with increasing time but that's about the bott
  20. Baw, I know that time is not tangable, I asked if it existed as a concept out side of the earth? Except for a mathimatical probability, no one can say for definite that it does? TC
  21. Is that "rake" ?? No he's not wearing lycra. Do you by chance no anything about dark matter, the geeks seem to be avoiding the question. http://www.tgdaily.com/space-features/79551-hubble-uncovers-largest-known-group-of-star-clusters-clues-to-dark-matter TC
