Good question LoneHunter and your going to get a lot of spun poly answers, which is freely available and good for the job. I use it but also use sole sewing thread and think its the best material of the lot IMHO and not just because I get it for freeY.I.S Leeview There is a valid point made here. Personally I think there are a multitude of threads/ twines out there that will suit a netters need. No one thread/twine will suit everyone. So experiment with different twines till you find one or two that suits your needs, your knitting style and most importantly your pocket. TC

Don't know if you read the entire thing but it says they are happy to send samples for you to try. I have had some samples off of him. The twine in the link will make a good longnet twine but is far too fine for purse nets. This one will make a fine purse net. If you want samples email Simon at yarnbay@yahoo.co.uk He has now got a gold polyester in but it is quite heavy and slippery you would have to double knot or do a Carric bend on it, would be allright for fox nets.
