Isn't a breathalyser just an invitation for a blood test? TC

I love the way the ears are matching the eyes, you can see the ears are focused in the same direction. As per it tells a story. You really do have a special talent Rob. TC

Something I have never done is releasing hares. Does the weather play a part on their survival after release? I ask as when a hare is raised on an area, they know where to go to get out of the wind and rain, where the best feeding is etc; If they are released on to new ground they have to start again, so to speak. If that release coincides with bad weather is it detrimental to the hares and cause fatalities because they are unfamiliar with the ground? Just something that struck me. TC

I love my own company, when I was fishing most of the people who crewed for me could not hack sitting on a boat all day or night and not talking. I don't see the point of talking bollocks just for the sake of saying something. Until, I have had a few pints then you can't shut me up. verbal diarrhea has nothing on me. TC

Quite a few years ago, I used to sell rabbits to a fish monger, who used to sell game as well. I used to get pheasants off him that had been hanging in the market for at least two weeks, and they were green. But they were the best tasting pheasants ever, cold. They tasted disgusting warm, but once they cooled down they were absolutely gorgeous, and even nicer as they were free and supposed to be for ferret food. TC

As long as they were put in fresh and were kept at a stable temperature, I would still eat after 2 weeks no problem. But that is just me, I am not telling you to do that. (Just covering my ass from a claim.) TC

In 50 odd years I have never seen a stoat take a rabbit, I have heard it and followed the cries to find a dead rabbit. It is something I would love to witness, nature at it's finest. I think to see that first hand eclipses the number of rabbits caught and would really make a day very special. TC

Personally I do not think they would be up to the job, but that is just my opinion. There was a chap selling custom made hare gate nets out of spun poly. I know Hareydave had some of him that he was very pleased with, send him a pm he is always willing to help. Here are a couple of photos of the nets of rabbitingman TC

For all you hard men and your dogs. This goes for any dog not just terriers. When you "test" your dog when does it prove it's self? FFS It's like a computer game, as if it completes the next level, it has to go on to the next, and the next, and the next. FFS why can't you just be happy that you have a dog that does a job. Dogs are just flesh and blood just like us, we all cannot be world champions and no one (in their right mind, that is) would pretend otherwise. So why this obsession with I must test my dog to it's limits. Any dog should be stopped before it reaches that limit and if the

I gave up growing main crop many years ago. The cost of sprays to get them to maturity far out weighed the cost, blight mostly. Even now the cost of potatoes fluctuate, but I am paying £3.50 for 25kilo bag of Pipers for chips, and £4 for Victoria, even though it is a chipping potato still boils well with good taste. It is in my eyes a waste of ground and money trying to grow main crop potatoes. TC

A pity GTE is not with us any more, I found an old thread where he gives some history on Peter Omerod. http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=3&ved=0CC0QFjAC&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.thehuntinglife.com%2Fforums%2Ftopic%2F250087-liverpool-foxhound-or-beagle-pack%2Fpage-9&ei=d_Z4VMHbIquU7Qa26IHQBA&usg=AFQjCNGgZhoEexO2u4lAWCYkz4bqWoy3bQ&bvm=bv.80642063,d.ZGU&cad=rja Also found this that states he was joint master of the stag hounds. http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&v

I have tried the Sapele sills for making a catapult, but one fork strike and they snapped. Saplele mahogany is a very brittle wood. You can tell that by the amount of dust it produces when sanding, it does not take stress well. That said, if it was used as a laminate it would be quite acceptable. TC

Considering they paid £600,000 to get rid of the rats not so long ago I think the figures do not add up, a contact like that should be at least £800 a day between 6 men. TC
