    To my knowledge a bell rope is used for a peel of bells not hung of the clapper. The ropes that hang of the clapper are usually tied in fancy knots such as a monkey fist or a hangmans knot, or braided such as an end splice. Willing to be proved wrong though. TC I tried to google it and search earlier to do just that I soon lost interest. I'm sure I can sleep at night lanyard will do for me. However.   14. I read an article many years ago about spinning for mullet with Mepps with the treble covered in maddies, they done well on them. That was down in Cornwall somewhere. Settled weather and a low /mid day high water tide would help with the clarity of the water. TC
  15. We had a nice afternoon today, little wind and sun. The thyme is in full bloom at the moment and I noticed there were a few bees on it. In all I thought there were four different species of bumble bees on the flowers,. I took some photos, and while not great there is enough detail to make out the different markings on the bees.
