  1. what this picture Your right feck it,,,,think i might get rid of her Drop her off here later mate, i'll have her and i'll even pay your diesel costs.
  2. I have insulated wooden boxes 12" off the floor with a piece of rubber conveyor belting on the floor to prevent any drafts and a piece of carpet covering the opening in the winter. Just make sure it's big enough for the dog to lay stretched out mate. You could use the greyhound bedding in the winter too.
  3. I used to start colour feeding about 3-4 weeks after they fledged the nest. That way the yellow wingbars stay yellow and don't go red, it's the breast and head feathers that are the last to moult. Remember that the wing feathers don't moult in the first year (thats why there called unflighted) so less likely to take the colour food unless the bird loses the odd flight feather, if it does it will replace it and come through with the colour your feeding. I only used to colour feed in softfood as it gets bloody everywhere when put in there water. I found the colour was more natural too with n
  4. Cheers Keith and Charpolski, what alot of folk don't know including yourselves is this time last week i was on an operation table having have half my small bowel removed in an emergency operation after collapsing on wednesday night. The only thing i said to my lass when i was told it was either an operation or curtains was make sure the dogs are looked after. That went down like a lead brick i can tell ya, she said i've always thought more of the dogs than i do her!! she knows thats not true but you have to think of them as they can't look after themselves. Thankfully i'm home now got home yes

  6. Mr mally, you are a professional 'CUN.T' your staged photography, is a joke. for the ladies and gents on here, this f.ucker, is very cruel to his whippets, i wont go into detail, but i have heard, electric gets used from time to time. make me sick you do. Your just a joke, YOU've feckin heard. i don't believe everything i hear. Another of the brigade believing the lies of a sicko who has a personal vendetta with me and whom spread lies and shite about me and the dogs. I don't personally give a shite anyone who knows me and my dogs know the truth. Anyone who sees me and the dogs a
  7. I must admit when i saw this topic and then the topic of the pups for sale i had to laugh, Its quite sad when folk have to talk there dogs up to sell the pups. It's also sad when folk accuse you of injecting shite into your dogs because there toned and muscled, i know because folk have accused me of having my dogs on shite because there fit and muscled. What i will tell you is ask anyone who knows me and who's seen my dogs work, theres a couple who's commented on this thread who has done just that and both i'm sure would have any of my dogs in there kennel as i would theres. Thats because
  8. He may asks alot of questions mate, it's because some of us care where our pups go to and don't breed for the money like some folk out there. It looks like a cracking even litter, hope they all go to good working homes
  9. Nice to see you taking the above advice!! when your next topic is wanting a slip lead to run a 6 month old pup.. If i was you i'd be saving your money for the an advert in the countrymans weekly so you can peddle the dog on when he turns out to be a yapper and jacker because you started him far too early!!!. 6 months ffs and your thinking of working him!! he's still very much a puppy as molly says whippet dog pups are slow to mature both mentally and physically. Allow him to be a pup, train him all the basic commands and get him retrieving before you even think about running him. I know a some
  10. Every dog is different mate, i keep whippets and i have just started to show my pup a few runs and he's a year old. I've seen dozens of dogs ruined running them too early but i've yet to see one ruined starting one too late. Be patient and allow the dog to be a pup before thinking of running it.
  11. All the kits from the first litter have all gone to good working homes
  12. I agree mate, Don't know why the rush to put her back with the Hob. I usually leave the jill with the kits until they go to the new homes as long as you give them pleny of food (soaked ferret food, dry ferret food and rabbits/meat in the evenings) there shouldn't be a problem with kitts pulling a jill down. I've a jill here with 14 kits and she's putting weight on as there getting plenty of food. Jills can come back into season, i had a jill last year that only had a couple of kits and she lost them after just 2 days. She came back into season after a couple of weeks. hi im just ge
  13. Were in the process of filming a DVD mate, already got about 3/4 hour of non stop footage of the Vixen (bitch on left) and Mojito(bitch on right) in full HD. We want another hour or so of footage including some of other working whippets (which we are finding hard to find anyone willing to let us film there dogs working!!!)before it's finished. We are going over to Ireland in november to get some coursing footage. If you pm me your phone number i will give you a bell when it's done and send you a free complimentary copy .
  14. I usually like to see their eyes opened before I let them go Y.I.S Leeview I'm with you on this one Leeview, surely he must mean the 20th of August!!!
  15. I dread to think the pain this poor jill will be in. I find it unbelievable reading this, but nothing surprises me on here anymore. If you keep any animal you have a duty of care to provide it with medical care as and when needed . Some folk may think it's only a ferret. Someone ought to chop the leg of him and leave him for a few days!!!. With it being a fox bite it's an almost certainty that the wound will become infected without anti biotics, left untreated it will have a long slow death in agony. If you can't afford to take her to the vets call the PDSA they won't turn away an animal
  16. I went to thoresby country fair and looked through a pair of binoculars priced at just £40 i didn't expect much to be honest. I was amazed and not having much cash on me i asked for there business card so i could order online. After visiting there website i saw they sold them on ebay too. They are 8x42 and i have them with me all the time wether i'm out with the dogs or shooting. They are great in low light condition too and at just over £40 your not worried about damading them at that price unlike a pair that costs over a grand!!( They list them buy it now or best offer i made them an offer
  17. Great looking dog mate have you stripped him out for the summer or is he broken coated??
  18. You would be better buying this than an Escort mate and it's a very fari price too. I bought an Escort brand new when they first came out it was £228 brand new (6 years ago) It was a total nightmare it went back to edgar brothers for repair no fewer than 8 times!!! in 3 years and was totally unreliable with the heavier loads. Although they have revamped then in recent times claiming there much stronger made guns theres still a joke that goes around the gun trade that the shop should supply a plastice carrier bag with every escort sold, so the customer can collect all the bits that break off i
  19. I have found Express 42g 1's one of the best loads i've used for fox. being 1 shot theres alot more shot than a BB load and it has a nice pattern. I use a 3/4 choke when shooting foxes and i've shot them stone dead out to 40yds with this load. I use the victory mini mags 3's & 4's when i go to scotland goose shooting and there a fine cartridge too
  20. Well done for that mate, ever since the late Brian Plummer took a couple of ferrets into the calender tv studios and one latched onto the presenter Richard whitelys finger on live TV (it did get him real proper too!!) everyone thinks all ferrets are biters, it was a PR disaster for ferrets!!!.
  21. I agree mate, Don't know why the rush to put her back with the Hob. 22. Cheers Macca the middle one is the dog i bred last year out of Vixen (she's on the Left). He's going the right way although i've taken things easy with him due to the hard ground and him still being very much a pup. Over the past 2-3 weeks he's starting to muscle up nicely. Give me a ring mate and we'll sort a day out early season. I've not seen Volly and the bitch you bred for a while the last time i saw her she was only 6-7 months old and looking great. Volly's done a great job training her and everyone who see's her always comment on her.
  23. Totally agree with you mate, we have scum around here dumping jills with litters of kits, most get run over first thing in the morning as they don't like the wet grass and sit on the roads!!!. Seen a few run over recently between Bawtry and Tickhill. It would be kinder to put them to sleep than dump the poor mites.
  24. Bloody hell he wants a good price for them doesn't he, although i do think ferrets are under priced especally when you think of the sport they give us and our dogs. I've bred a couple of litters this year as i wanted a couple of jills myself and although there not cheap to rear (I've bought 3 x 20kg bags of james wellbeloved ferret food upto now at £28.50 a bag) i'd sooner offer them free to good working/pet homes. The lads that have come to pick up the kits over the past week have all commented on how steady they are and given me a little towards feeding costs saying they were more than
  25. My whippets are kenneled together always have been and i've had no problems, maybe because they have all grown up together and are of sound temprement. I always kenneled my lurchers together too without any problems. I feed them seperated though as this is the time when problems could occur.
