  1. seen some in shooting times called bauer optics. anyone know if they're any good? around my price range and look like a nice set. just want some opinions.
  2. Zeiss Victory 10x42 are pretty stunning. Bit too pricey at the moment though, been looking for a pair that compare with the victory range but don't cost a bomb. Don't want to go too cheap though and get Asda homebrand, looking between £300-500.
  3. What binoculars would you recommend thinking about the quality of optics vs the price you pay? I'm wondering if you can get quality without the dent in your wallet? Anyone got any recommendations from experience, or have seen any decent sets for sale? Tom
  4. Hi, I had a similar problem with wrong mounts, think because I went for the cheapest set I saw on the web. Spoke to Alan Rhone Ltd up near Chester, they deal with the Recknagel mounts and can fit pretty much any size scope to most rifles. Been using mine now for 3 months and still accurate as ever. Haven't got a number sorry, but that's what Google's for. Hope this helps you out.
  5. I'd probably go for the Bauer 8x42 HD if your looking for a decent set under £300. Tried a pair myself comparing them to the Zeiss Victory set. There are slight differences in field of view, but at a quarter of the price, the Bauer ones win hands down. I got the Bauer 8x42 ED's in the end for about £470 or something, just because they had that extra edge over the HD in crispness and feel. More than happy with them. Hope this helps.
