  2. There only be 3 or 4 like minded souls, trust me you'll be fine..................................
  3. Likely natural causes, i imagine the survival of 1st and 2nd year birds is pretty low. I thought it a bit of an odd release area as the coast across from the isle is well populated, would have thought Devon and Cornwall or Wales would have had some suitable habitats but I expect they looked into the viability of the area. I'll hopefully will get some sightings at some point, would be a life tick for me. When i think back to when i was a lad some of what have become almost mundane birds of today would have been unbelievable back then, things like spoonbills, Glossy ibis, Cranes, Red K

  8. Well 1st winter done as she's come into season, it's a little earlier than I would like but maybe down to her having had an easy week or so. She's done OK up to here, bit head strong perhaps but I've had worse over the years. Her tally is less than I'd hoped but that's down to me rather than her as when she's had the opportunity she's done well. Hopefully next winter I can spend more time working the dogs than working myself. Think I've done my bit for everyone else over the last couple of years so gonna put some time into what I want for a few years from here in ?. It seems both bitch
  9. But you can't help reacting to my posts which suggests otherwise ?. It would be nice if you could get beyond the school boy dependence on petty insult in your response but I suppose we can only bring what we have to the table ?
  10. But I thought it obvious, that's the whole point of the character ?.
  11. whats it got to do with males or sex?? Its a picture of someone in decent nick, no more no less. You seem to link the picture with whats on your mind rather than anyone else's re sexual interpretation... Ps still got it.
  12. "gay pic" your interpretation tells more of you than me ?. I was 47 in the pic so similar age if not a bit older than many posters on here ? ?
  13. I've found it useful to get outside of the normal circle and like all things it is up to you how you use it, lots of crap but you accept who you want and join where you like..

  15. For North Devon we prefer the woodland camo look...
  16. Study in blue, Devon light. No editing, if I where to paint this no one would believe the colours,
  17. Prefer it a little more open ?
  18. I'd not suggest we do less but that we adapt how, as in starting and finishing a bit earlier in areas that don't have the numbers. Taking the same numbers but avoiding taking out milky does. Each doe is two litters, say 10 rabbits, over the spring/early summer and they are the soft targets, easy catches so we tend to catch them in higher numbers lamping once breeding starts.
  19. But with rvhd many need to manage what rabbits they have or end up with none. If all the milky does are killed in February there no bunnies in August.
  20. Wet doesn't seem to put rabbits off of breeding like a hard cold period. Lack of nutritious food is part of the reason and mild wet winters means the grass is still growing throug most of the year.
  21. For those of us lucky enough not needing to supply a pest control service I was wondering how we could adapt to the warming climate? Spring seems to be getting earlier each year and the milky does with it. Maybe one answer would be to start the season a little earlier perhaps?. ? I know it would mean running harder ground but..... Most of the older does have finished rearing young by August and their bunnies are independent rather than in the womb. Better perhaps to take a single bunny in error than a whole litter in the womb or depending on milk. Having said that I'm still lamping and
