He was wrapped in a white sheet and his hands were bound, the occupant of the flat had popped out apparently,so the kid had the presence of mind to attract attention by banging on the window and was spotted by a passer-by or neighbour, the flat is part of a bail-hostel type establishment for offenders being rehabilitated I wouldnt like to guess at the flat-tenants previous convictions if part of his rehabilitation process is kidnapping and binding young boys

Theres a movie called "Mystic River" young kid is kidnapped by a couple of middle-aged pedophiles,he manages to escape after several days but the trauma haunts him for the rest of his troubled life.
-
Something tells me this young kid was about to become the in-house entertainment, very, very lucky escape.

Back with Plod???You should have asked him to vacate your property,if he refused to do so then phone plod yourself telling them your about to forcibly eject a trespasser, then got him off your property yourself,he has no legal rights above and beyond you or me whatsoever,he works for a charity, thats it,nothing else,he is joe-public in a uniform, phone the local RSPCA and report his beligerant attitude and the threats he made towards you,do not, repeat do NOT fear the RSPCA,f**k them and their warrant

Theres a street in hong kong, kowloon somewhere,I walked through it by accident a few years ago, filled with pet-shops selling marine aquariums, some of them were truly incredible, but the best one I ever saw was ocean-park marine aquarium, its called atoll-reef and is 4 storeys high, stunning, the size of some of the grouper in there is amazing, sharks, rays, turtles and a massive range of smaller fish, corals etc, well worth a visit.

Remember the rule of thumb,a dash is always equal to three dots sam morse would have still found it cryptic however

That might be a north-east thing because I used to hear it often as a kid....from the rabbit sniffing pepper thread.

Fear not young Simon, the wonders of modern technology(and all that) worth a watch, the old couple who bought the nut-farm,and a young couple and their kids who sold-up in blighty, bought 10 acres in france and are turning it into a yurt-site for campers. http://www.itv.com/itvplayer/video/?Filter=288324

% of the tropical fish sold in western pet-stores are caught in Philippines or indonesia, dive or snorkel on a reef over there and its like being in a living tropical aquarium, theres a couple of fish dealers I walked into in Cebu city just out of interest, big holding tanks, they pay their collectors a pittance, the fish are caught with cyanide which kills the coral and the majority of the fish, coral smuggling is also big business, sad really as a genuine pristine living reef really is an incredible sight.
-
The same guy was selling tiny little chameleons,I wouldnt have minded one to be honest The animal-smuggling game has to be just below drugs, weapons, and human-trafficking in revenue generating, get a book called Winged Obsession, its by the self-styled Indiana-jones of the beetle/butterfly smuggling world, the japanese are big-time into it with their craze for beetles, big business smuggling them into the country for the pet-market,one japanese collector paid $89,000 for a single stag-beetle specimen.

I might take a stanley-knife to the back of the settee and see if there are any pennies that have fallen down the back, failing that theres always the kids piggy-banks,theres too many endorsements for it not to be a decent page-turner

I was in Morocco earlier this year,a guy was selling dozens of spur-thighed in a market-place,he was asking the equivalent of a quid each, but imagine the ignominy of getting "Done" for tortoise smuggling, you would never live it down
-
And if your near the sea ferreting warrens forsake the tortoise('Cos they are expensive as f*ck nowadays, not just 50p like when I was a kid,and the local pet-shop had a cage crammed with them,oh,AND it had a monkey that smoked )just rake around in rockpools and get yourself a decent sized crab, dry the back of its shell(because wax wont "hold" on a wet carapace)stick the candle on and let the crab scuttle off into the warren, its not called ferreting, its called crabbing, but your wife mightnt be overly impressed if you tell her you were out all day catching crabs Its true.........Honest

Gleaning through waste corn-cobs for the chickens Simo, throw a load in with the chooks keeps them interested and they pick kernels of corn that have been missed. The corn itself is dried and we used to eat corn-grits or flog it.

Yeah, sorry mate, didnt mean to omit that, just didnt want to overload them with superfluous information, and I forgot about the ginger ones, mainly found down the west coast.

Only existing in the Highlands, cant acclimatise further south, interesting fact about Haggis, during the moult their loose guard-hairs are hand collected by old spinster virgins from whin-bushes where they collect as the animal feeds upon berries to put on reserves of fat for the harsh forthcoming winter, the collected haggis-wool is spun and then woven in a warp and weft weave the colouration is that of a tartan pattern from which individual clans claimed their identity, its true,Honest
-
And lighting sulphur-matches(sod all this safety match crap)under roosting Pheasant stupifies them, causing them to fall from their perch to easily be collected from the ground, its true,Honest

I know a guy called Chris from Woolwich way, told me he once shagged two blond twins, one was 18 and one was 20 He also told me he had gold knuckle-dusters,5 grand for one or 15 grand for 2 He was also mugged on the way to work one morning while sitting on the tube,5 black guys wanted his sandwiches,he knocked them all out with moves that would have put bruce lee to shame

Tobacco grows easily here Simo,as do lots of things most folks wouldnt realise Wouldnt have minded solar-panels,thats the one thing that fu*ked me,electricity, but I had over 300 days of total sunshine a year, just never utilised it.Other than that I never wasted a thing, even gleaned the waste corn-cobs for food for the chickens,BUT i had a few quid tucked away for real emergencies which thankfully never arose, and I was earning money from other things.

Visited a few fincas in spain Mush, soil on the ones I went to wasnt worth a light, got mates who are making lots of cash on their farms but I discovered spain doesnt fit into my plans anymore, everywhere you go in rural spain its Se Vende......Se Vende......Se Vende, the place has no cash, its in dire straits. He was mate, wouldnt mind knowing how he got on?I have a couple of acres in asia, grown this, that and the other on them, always made a few quid.
-
I will get it,thanks for the tip I have done the self-sufficiency bit abroad where it was relatively easy as I had a couple of quid tucked away for emergencies and a small boat and house,I prefer my comforts nowadays,we soften with age,but wouldnt mind a couple of acres somewhere just in case, always worth while preparing for emergencies
