  1. It's not a new AA S510 you'e about to paint is it????? .......... it is!!!!
  2. I doubt you'll get more than 30mpg out of any 4x4 .......... I'm looking for an economical one too.
  3. Thanks for that chaps, will try a few other options. Cheers
  4. Hi, does anyone know of good cheap dog cover? My terrier is only 14 months old, and the premium has doubled! Many thanks!
  5. Think it's a precaution in case FEO thinks youre a bit dodgy. However, if they did want to check out your referees, they wont hassle them, they might get a phone call, possibly a visit, but I really wouldnt worry about it. If your ref has agreed, then they wont be put out either.
  6. I think it's all explained on the application notes (?)
  7. Scorpion was more like a rifle with a pistol grip somewhere in the middle, if i remember rightly....got any pics? There was an article with a Sheridan not so long ago, nice looking thing.
  8. Ratbuster for putting down cage trapped stuff, plinking, but forget hunting ............. with any pistol, not very humane IMHO.
  9. Nice write up ........... ahhh, childhood!
  10. Metal sweats, try taking an ice cold can of lager out of the fridge, stand it in a warm room for a while! - Same with guns, let them stand (not in bag) in the room they will be stored until they are the same temperature - then oil them.

I agree with Chris, best job I ever had...pay not good, but who cares when there is fun and interest involved! Have done the "Office" and it sucks! It has its dull/shitty moments, but on the whole a good day out. I work for a small rural firm which is far more likely to yield shooting or other interesting opportunities than a big national, who will have you looking at bait all day. Good luck!
  12. Great explanation Mr L ......better than my scopes' leaflet! Mine is an Edgar Bros 6x24 42. Has front Px adjustment - not mounted it yet, but was thinking about putting it on the rimmy. Would i be right in thinking it was more a target than a hunting scope with Px adjustment?
  13. ......same question, but on a scope with PA? And, does it matter if the PA is not adjusted to the precise range?
  14. More uncomfortable was the shots being randomly fired amongst the group!
  15. Nice shooting! .......... errrm, youre not going to eat those crisps are you??
  16. Beats football! Good man! Also beats ..... Most TV! ...but not beer!
  17. DevonHunter, it's a damn good demo to others as to what can happen in a moment of absent mindedness, and you were very lucky! As you are now aware, a gun, loaded or not, safety on, or not should always be pointing in a safe direction. It seems like another rule, but it becomes habit after a while. I'm reliably informed that shotguns have a "friction" arrangement for the safety catch, which can and do fail! (perhaps someone can embellish this) On an organised shoot, you can be ejected for any unsafe behaviour. I'm with woodchip......prefer it alone! Safe hunting!
  18. Deker http://www.northeastfieldsports.co.uk/index.php .... clean crisp, easy on the eye, doesnt take an age to download.
  19. Hi all, Looking for a bit of information on how to use "Sidewinder" rubber sandeel type lures 4, 6, and 8 inch - new to beach fishing and can find no info on how they are used. Do you use them from a boat, or can they be used like a pike plug/spinner?? Mr Crabtree, bless him, is a bit out of date. Thanks in advance.
  20. Agree Deker, only use mine as the minimum covering requirement when crossing or walking lanes that seperate my permission ...... and certainly wouldnt put anything valuable in it. Quality is poor.
  21. Had a choice of new ones when i bought ............ chose the one with the nicest wood! Promply scratched it soon afterwards!
  22. I use the shotgun one ......... can just squeeze my CZ452 in it. Find it a bit slack with the 12 bore, and the gun can slip out of the side if you sling it over your shoulder the wrong way up. I'm sure i saw a rifle version somewhere. Be careful as shotgun ones are sometimes advertised as rifle slips. I would only use it for occaisional use too. Hope this helps.
  23. Are these a mutation, or a different species?
