  1. http://www.countryside-alliance.org.uk/hun...ews/criminals?/
  2. More police who are hunters the better! Had dealings with loads of them, treat them with respect and don't break the law - easy really!
  3. .....just be sure the squirrel has not had access to any rodenticide.
  4. Forrester turbo is insanely fast!
  5. Do a search, there was a good topic on this gun recently.
  6. Yes Trappa, forgot about the mole traps ........ best used for holding your wellies together in the van!
  7. I think theyre probably stashing it somewhere .............. safely hopefully!
  8. Best to hide up within range of their favourite sitting tree. Cover everything and keep still. Bit of observation prior to a shoot will pay off.
  9. Nice pictures, look like theyre from an old book, good effect!
  10. Richie, CS4 is the latest. There is an article about it in Dec issue Photography Monthly. I use CS2, but not used (or found) the function you are after. I'm sure it is availiable in previous versions which may be cheaper. £550 odd quid would buy another good lens.
  11. Don't bother with single barrel - first outing you will wish you had a second! Make sure you get an ejector too - first time the shooting gets exciting you will be cussing as you fumble to change the carts! Good time to buy, dealers will probably be gagging for a sale! Good luck!
  12. Zig Zag, it's in a bank, with steep sides on the road sides, so a bit dodgy for man and ferret, but ok access on the other. I was thinking trapping the tunnels on the field side.
  13. I always understood that a magazine, or pellet, should not be present IN the rifle (Common sense really). However, I have never seen any written law on it, just what i've been told by others. Imagine the scenario ..... walking down the road, gun in bag (loaded mag in) cops want a closer look, one cycle of bolt and ready to fire! Now if i was a cop, I'd not be happy about that! However, if the mag was loaded, but in a seperate pocket, its far less likely to cause alarm. Interesting, I'd like to know what the actual law states ........ I bet Deker knows!
  14. Can anyone point me in the direction of info on rabbit trapping? I have a difficult area that cannot be shot or ferreted.
  15. Have you got fox on your ticket for 22lr and HMR?
  16. Air pistol is simply not humane enough for rabbit unless for dispatch in snare or cage trap. This is what I use.... http://www.wighillparkguns.co.uk/products/...l.asp?prod=1596.
  17. Squirrels don't venture out at night.
  18. ...ahhh, that was the other good reason...humaneness!
  19. It might, and they may stick a supervision condition on your ticket, which isnt a bad thing if you have no experience. Maybe join a club and seek a mentor from there. FEO's like to hear you talk about risk assesments, safe shots, general awareness about safety. Understand the safety issues around the rimfire, and they will be more comfortable with you owning a rifle.
  20. Quite agree Chris. When "the worm" was banned for moles, I had to learn to trap....and now rarely fail! I didnt bother with gas, as I suspect this will go soon. Doors close and open.
  21. Keep mine horizontal in the loft, no problems (and FEO officer happy with bolted to joist) .... mind you, most of my heating ends up in the loft as i'm too young to enjoy the free insulation offer that seems to be doing the rounds.
  22. Thanks for that Matt, knew it wasnt a duster, but didnt know it was known as DR59.
