  1. Hi guy's, Wurz has asked me to put up the Poll for the September Pic for the Calender Comp as he's still off line at the moment.
  2. I didn't know that Matt, I spent ages on the humberside force sit looking for it and couldn't find the damn thing, Walked to the local station and the dumb sod spent ages running backwards and forwards looking for it, in between me constantly having to explain I wanted a FAC and not an SGC certificate, Eventually she said "We've run out, we've had a run on them, I'll take your details and ring Firearms at Queens Gardens (Force HQ) and get them to send you one" I had to tell her that FireArms isn't at QG it's only the Range thats there and that F.A. is located at Tower Grange Station. A week l
  3. Depends on the force as to wether you'll get it off the net or not. I had to visit the local station (ooohhhh look at me being polite!) to ask for a form. What a fecking polarvah that was but thats another story! Tony
  4. Can't afford their rifle's but I use their pellets most of the time for hunting. Tony
  5. Yep, bit of scrunched up foil works a treat. There are other methods, but thats pretty easy to remember Then as mentioned, a wipe with a rag and a lil oil, that reminds me! Must practice what I preach Welcome aboard Tony
  6. Just wait till it gets windy then Mikey! Being on the East coast(ish) and Humber estuary seems to direct it right around us and amplify it! Take it your in the oil/energy business? Tony
  7. At that price the 1st question I would be asking is "Whats wrong with it?" If its in good working condition and a full set up; I'd have taken his hand off at the wrist at that price. Tony
  8. Metcheck used to be the most accurate one I ever used. Now however everytime I log on I get a bloody error! Been using this lately http://www.metoffice...st_weather.html Oh yes (best churchil the dawg voice lol) And if I eat peanuts and face north and bend It'll be like halestone :!!:
  9. Wind and howling gales forcast until March Only after I've had the bunny curry
  10. I'm hoping to be out tomorrow as well Ryan Winds have dropped now, although tomorrow there are supposed to be 9 to 12 MPH with gusts of upto 30 I can cope with that! Tony
  11. Hi Peter, Mine was 6x25 800m /yard and also at the press and hold of a button, converted to yards. I think a lot if not most will do the same, but don't quote me on that! lol Its identical to this one right down to the neck strap, wrist strap and lens cloth and VF Reticle Only differance is the range mine goes up to 800 yards. Tony
  12. I got my LRF from China, (where most are manufactured). Very handy devices for teaching you different ranges if your not too good with them. However it's not too good to use them before each shot you take as by the time you've pinged it and got the gun back to your eye, the quarry has usually moved Beware though the batteries can be a little expensive, just changed mine and it cost me £8 OUCH! Still got it a couple of years ago and the batts only just gone. Tony
  13. You'll find that all guns are only limited by the shooters skill and conditions. The guns are much more accurate than most shooters.
  14. Depends on your skill and weather conditions But nominal ranges are a piece of cake, I zero at 35 yards my longest kill shot to date in good conditions standing was 66 yards. But my nominal range is out to 45. Tony
  15. You gotta be joking Sir, Getting close is easy, but no fecking way am I cycling all that way in the bloody wind down the main road from the Humber Bridge Went out to the shops earlier and there are a couple of trees down around here. Walked through the little park and even the tree rats ore on the ground, if only there was no cctv covering the place
  16. My baby is an S200. Lightweight, and supreamly accurate. Very reliable. I've shot many other types as well and BSA Ultra is superb. Then there are the HW100's (lots of money required, as well as muscle) More guns will be added Tony
  17. Just looked at the weather for this area again as I'm itchin to give my baby a work out and want some meat for me and the cat. The Met Office have changed their forcast in my favour instead of winds of up to 43 MPH, they now say it's up to 40MPH Still not going to be able to go, but if it carries on reducing at this rate, I may get out next year! Tony
  18. Welcome aboard Cliff, You'll find loads of advice if you need it on here , any questions just holler em out and someone will try to answer There's some good guy's on here, none of the above though Tony
  19. Hi Sam, AA Field pellets come in three sizes. 4.50, 4.51, and 4.52 Each rifle will perform at its best with a certain pellet, however its usually trial and error to find which one suits it best. My S200 AA likes all the AAF's sizes but performes best with the 5.52 (mines a .22) Best bet is to buy a tin of whichever you want to try. Set up the scope for your own eye and then Zero it. Once done a clean target and aim at the same spot on the new target and fire a 5shot string and see how wide the spread of the shot it. If you can get them within the size of a 10 pence piece at 30 or 35
  20. Thanks Mark, It is a stunning pistol, of course with this being the "Black Star", I need to get the "White Star" version as well as the standard version. Think I need a lottery win and soon Tony.
  21. You could have made Gary feel better by having him stand in the picture Then bung it into photoshop and written in big red letteres "Loooserrrr" and a big arrow pointing at him Nice work Darryl, but it's good to know that even top shots have the sh!te sessions Tony
  22. Hiya Sym, Nice work healthy looking Hares I've heard some good things about the KUB and nothing as yet bad. Lovely shots on the Hares, but you feed the mutts with em? How very dare you! Hare is one of the finest meats on the planet I wish I had some Hares on my perms rather than the big old Mares. Tony
  23. Well Gary, Well at least your not blaming your tools Every one of us has those "Cant shoot for Sh!te" sessions, especially in the dark! You'll do better next time buddy Tony
