  6. The last change to airgun law in the UK came about in the VCR (Violent Crimes Reduction Law) 2007 Here is a brief outline for you: http://www.airgunshooting.co.uk/expertadvice-details.aspx?id=79 Before a law can be changed, it has to go through the usual channels as any other new law. This can take years. If the Police wish to, they can sieze an airgun and send it off to their testing centre (at great expence to them). To have it tested. Now according to Baz on AGBBS, even the temperature must be controlled during the testing, and its not just a case of sligning a few throu
  7. Thats cuz like me your way to old to remeber the last time
  8. according to them law changed , due to kids with air rifles , no air rifles can be carried at all this was armed responce , normal plod didnt know this but armed responce did Total bullshite As Stevie said, you can carry an air rifle, in its case if you have a lawful excuse or reason. IE going or comming back from permission or a gun club, or range or gunsmiths shop. How else would a RFD be allowed to sell a fecking air rifle? When the law changes, it will be publicised in all the magazines, all the forums and on the news and papers! Go get to a solicitor NOW Why
  9. Way to go Now what you doing in front of your computer, get out and bash them bunnies into te middle of next week or at least into the middle of your next pie Phantom
  10. Hi Alex, I wouldn't let it go over 11.5 with any pellet My own S200 is 11 ft/lbs and is more than adequate and has produced good kills at 45 yards If you have a gun that is running at 11.5 with a 15.5 grain, then your FPS is 577.9 If you were to stick a 21 grain Bis Mag in then the power should be the same, but the projectile would slow to 496.5 However if you wanted the Bis Mag pellet to move as the same FPS as the lighter pellet, and adjusted the speed to compensate, then your ft/lbs would increase to 15.58 making the gun illegal. Phantom ps as always I am open to corr
  11. Its a long un, a Webley Venom Sidewinder Jammy git is the word indeed Phantom
  12. Hi Alex, The police have to send it to their national testing centre for it to be offically chronoed. They are allowed to use any pellet the wish, but they use a range of commonly available pellets from lightweight to heavyweight. they use a number of shots per pellet type and take an average (from what I remember) but if its consistantly over with any, they will class it as a FAC job. A Fire Arms Officer, did a very good write up as to the entire testing process over on the BBS a while ago. Phantom
  13. Why can't I have the kinda luck you have Thats a bloody good rifle, see my pm Phantom

  15. Very Nice going John I always take at least a few shots at a zero card, that way I can say I at least fired the gun! Comming away without anything in the bag is normal especially when 1st starting out. I had 3 trips before I had my 1st bunny Sorry to hear of the lads accident as well, Farm workers have one of the highest professional accident rates in the UK Many are killed simply because the machinary is so dangerous. I know exactly how you felt though, not knowing what to say to people upon bad news. I was in Morrisons yesterday and saw a woman working there, who I'd not seen in

  19. Very true But what I don't get is how come so many diseased bunnies in the cemetery grounds, yet just a few yards away they seem to be mostly healthy Weird aint it? Makes me think of what diseases people have died from and are they communicable to Rabbits/rodents could the liquid from a decomposing body somehow make it into the soil and like say Anthrax lay dormant for years before being injested/inhaled by an animal and then reanimate in the new host? Phantom
  20. Cheers Stealthy, Wish I'd have thought of that. That one in the grave might have been edible But there again, it may have had some kinda lurgie as well  Phantom
