  1. I am way too helpful for my own good at times A couple of days ago a nieghbour popped round asking if I could have a look at her PC for her. Sure I said, I went across and saw that she was running McAfee AV (I stopped using his av software when he spent time in a federal penitentiary for writing Viruses that his software would be the first to detect them) Anyhow I went through the usual, well I tried. The problem was that the machine could not connect to the net with IE. Every time IE opened, it closed. So I took my U3 drive round and ran Firefox and Thunderbird. Both programs rem

  3. I need a new scope with an IR for low light use. So Sadly I'm having to sell off my Treasured HW70 Break Barrel Spring Pistol in .177 Cal Needs must I'm affraid, I have the Box and Original Instruction Sheet for it as well as a shot target thats a pretty damn good Clover in the Bull shot at 10 Metres The Pistol is an original version Target Pistol without the Safety Catch and is an incredibly accurate. Its great for back yard plinking as well Its pushing out a little less that 2 ft/lbs and loves light pellets such as Geco or Marksman Number One. The recoil is minimal and it o

  7. I know just what you mean Alex I see bunnies bolt to the old ladies garden as soon I enter the paddock or the cemy. They just sit there, knowing they aint gonna eat lead, they'll even sit at the fence lil b s She whinges about the damage caused by the bunnies, but she won't have them shot even though her best friend has recommended my free service to her You just cant have your lawn and let the bunnies eat it Phantom
  8. Looks like theres a few of us thicko's about then, cuz I had no idea about it either Another Quota filled, now if the rain keeps off, speedy gonna get some lead hehehe Phantom
  9. :11: I thought he'd had a fight with a lawn mower last year? Did he win that one?
  10. Don't you guys think this young man is turning into a very ethical and descent hunter? The kind of young blood that will be a truely great asset to the hunting and vermin/pest control world I've seen him ask questions and learn a lot from the rest of us and he will be (and indeed is already) handing out good sound advice to newer members of our community. Nice one Aaron, you are comming along perfectly young man despite your cheek of us elders :glare: Phantom
  11. Is usually the thick one that starts an hour after the joke has ended
  12. Bet you eat Bunnies dont yah? Did you know that bunnies eat their own droppings when the weather is very bad for example if the snow is too deep for them to leave the warrens or dig to food and they cant access other supplies? or draught destroys their food supply? Thats also true Phantom
  13. Cheeky feckers Even if it is true Phantom
  14. Trying to swap them for an HW100 if I remember correctly Phantom
  15. I thoroughly agree with you there On BOTH points buddy I used to work as a CPO for those trying to help both men and women who didn't fit or follow society's rules It was a hard, tiring, stressful and dangerous job even the City Police admired me for doing so. I got an amazing sense of pride when I could talk someone out of a hostage or deadly situation. And I hated having to use force on some of them, because I knew the story of how and why some of them were 'feral'. Many times I thought "I could have been that same person" Tony
  16. The Stoegers are also made in china But do you know who Stoager are? The Parent company is Beretta Now what does that say about Chinese Manufacturing It speaks volumes, that they are getting to be one of the best producers in the world. Phantom
  17. lemmie think..... erm ..... When I got my HW70 from Hull's Premier RFD he told me it had just been serviced by HC and was an extremely powerful pistol As near to the legal limit as you can get Cool I thought, put an Eley Easp in it to have a go, pellet didn't make it into the Rifling out of the breech Tried again, didn't budge had to use a knitting needle to push the lead back out of the breech Put in a Geco and it chucked it 10M into the bull. Using the Geco's and Marksman Number 1 pellet it manages about 1.75 ft/lbs but its bloody accurate Phantom
  18. This man has a real sense of decency  And I'm honourd to have him on my friends list

  19. Well Said my good and wise Sir Phantom
  20. The B2 Notice they say "Extremely Powerful" but unlike their hunters and sportsters, they dont say "Full Power"? Perhaps they are an extremely powerful recoil for a baby maybe If you wanted a really good cheap springer; I would recomend the Supergrade XS19 from SMK I paid 70 quid for mine with a 4x32 Bisley scope. Does me proud it does Running not far off the legal limit and boy is it accurate. Its a perfect copy of the Gamo Hunter and it takes no prisoners. Just corpses Phantom
  21. CAW.....blimey Bill, Go on admit it, you did didnt you, you sang the whole verse didn't you? bet Lorraine thinks your suffering with 'old timers' Stroller, you mean you've never had to survive in the frozen land before? It is true I'm a bit of a survivalist at heart; born out of time in a fecking supposedly civilized world! The Apache had the right Idea Incidently, did you know that it was the white man and not the Injuns that started the Scalping? The white man got a reward for each redskin they could produce the scalp for Dont believe all you see in the films" Pha
  22. I've had a couple of bunnies that have been dropped with wind drifted pellets that have gone through the eye The 1st one I thought was dead, until it began kicking after being down for a good few seconds, it then got up and ran, I made it over and as I chucked my scrim at it and it dropped dead. Last one a week or so back went through the eye and damaged the brain so it couldn't run. But I had to run and finish it manually I try not to shoot them at the entrance to warrens, leave them until they are a few meters/yards out. that way if they jump, there isnt much chance of them falling
  23. Thats because they ain been dipping their beaks in the sh!t heaps yet. I can get you a few recipies for Crows, Rooks etc...... You can eat any meat really although the liver of a Polar Bear will kill you with a vitamin A overdose.
