    Dress smart-casual when you first approach. What ever you do DON'T turn up with gun in hand and wearing a ghilli suit or even realtree or DPM. When approching them, something along the lines of "Hello there Sir/Madam, I was passing some of your fields when out for a walk the other day and noticed that you have a lot of wild rabbits/wood pigeons or whatever on your land.     Nice collection you have there, I love my Air Arms S200 (PCP in my avatar) but I must admit I like the Newest incarnation of the S16 from Edgar Brothers, looks the same but internals are completely changed. I quite like the look of the Stutzen, now thats what you call a lump of timber My XS19 is my favourite springer out of the few I have.     Bugger I missed it! Just been playing with the ferrets for an hour while it was on lol Typical BBC eh?     If its as sweet as my XS19 there isn't a great deal that will need to be done with it other than maybe, perhaps a strip, lube and polish (although not done that to mine yet) and perhaps a replacement trigger. Other than that it will be a good accurate gun, very capable of knocking over bunnies etc... at normal ranges (and a bit further when you become a proficiant marksman) I have actually fired one but it was over a year back and can't remember what the trigger felt like?     Hey Cam, I've found the best I've done so far is 8 or 9 in less than an hour and 20 mins. However after a long layoff or on Virgin ground (not been shot for years) I shot a number of bunnies sat more or less next to each other they just looked as if to say "Oi Arry, Are you really that knackered you need a kip?" and they continue to munch. Carry on for a few days doing the same though; and they soon get the message that the sound of lead on skull and the smell of blood and brain generally means it could be their turn next Phantom

    :11: I only have one permission where I have to let the LO know I'm there. Local bobbies know who I am and where I will be shooting. When at the cemetery I usually put a sign on the gates that lets people know I'm there. Phantom

    A decent Springer will teach you to shoot, BUT have you any experiance of shooting? I would reccomend you try a local club and the members there will be only too happy to let you 'shoulder' their guns so you get to try some to find out if it 'fits you' I would also not even think about shooting live quarry before you are capable of putting 99% of your pellets in a circle the size of a 10 pence piece at 30 yards Good luck with the ferrets as well I've just got a couple myself Phantom
