  1. Hey Buddy, Traditional .22's are 5.50mm. Now a .22 bore is 5.50mm wide yeah? However there is Rifling to take into account, soooo the rifling may be 100th of a mm or even 1/200th's of a mm. I choose 5.52mm pellets as, when the blast of air up their skirt expands the skirt to fill the rifling it makes a good seal, hence all the air is is used to propell the pellet forwards. where as a 5.5mm pellet would do the same but it may not expand enough to fill the rifling. However a 5.51 pellet may be enough to fill the rifling perfectly. I would suggest that you try at least 50 of

  6. Don't know of any gun that won't eat up the AA fields and put them where you want them. Probably the best all rounder pellet there is Apart from the guns that belong to people who always say its their guns fault and not them! Phantom

  8. Cheers Peeps I try to give good advice as and when I can, like the rest of the regs on here If we can help point someone in the right and safe direction, we will all try our very best to do so And as a bonus; if we can have a giggle or a laugh in the process, it makes it all the more enjoyable for everyone Phantom
  9. Hey Guy's, I didn't think it was rubbish; well apart from the fact that I know I got two clean kills and a thud told me I had a body shot I hate ranging in the dark, especially over unfamiliar land! My first shot was that thumper horrible sound Second shot was at the far end near the second tree line. The loud Crack and the flying jewel told me it was a deffinate kill Problem with it was that it was followed by a splash, I couldn't retrieve it as the stream had severely steep sides and as it had been raining, I didn't fancy slipping down and not being able to get back up My t

  13. Hey buddy, A 5 mm dia dowl rod should be enough. Just remove the barrel (think the Scorpion has two grub screws like the S200 holding it on) Hold the dowel rod upright in a vice and poke the barrel (muzzle first) over the rod and just keep tapping the barrel down until the pellets come back out of the breech end. The good thing about using a dowel rod is that it will not harm or mark the rifling of the barrel whereas a metal rod would scratch the barrel inside. Phantom
  14. Hi Si, Finally got round to catching up on posts here, been a little busy (I'll email you and Laura later today) and now need some kip! Just to say Watched the vid, and although I use a minimum of 3 pellets before I decide if it needs to be moved If I'd have had that video of yours (or even someone to explain it) it would have saved myself and thousands of other young shooters countless months of "Shot Chasing" Your work in educating people is greatly appreciated by myself and many other shooters, both experianced and newbies Phantom
  15. If its been over filled, it should be the air cylinder that pops! What I mean is if its filled too high it should expand at a given point? then you would need a replacement air cylinder. I'd still take his hand off at the wrist though for that price Jammy git (even more so if its just a seal thats popped out, as it will only cost pennies to sort) Phantom
  16. Swindon, And booy was it great Phantom
  17. The XS19 is a more than capable rifle Love mine to bits, just dont shoot it as much as I want due to the trigger and my knackered finger tips So I use my pcp with a much lighter trigger. Im looking at getting the GRT trigger (or similar) sometime next year so I can put my springer back into action Phantom
  18. Really? oh hang on your not talking about the power adjustment screw are yah? Nope your not I just had a look at mine, yours is the swimsuit stock aint it? Mine's the bikini job, so the action screw is on the butt part of the stock Phantom
  19. Right, Now I've picked myself up off the floor and ironed out the creases you put me in, have a slut point Re that PM, If I'd have read this thread first it would have saved me using that line on someone Fantastic read, when I could get a breath I just knew you would chuck em in the boot  Phantom
  20. Think everyone has times like these Remember being out in the paddock one day, click pellet in the bullseye (paper one before anyone starts lol) Next one same, takes aim at bunny, miss, tried again, miss. Back to the paper, got a group like a scatter gun Gave up went home, the stock screw had come loose! I could have fixed it there and then in the field!! Oh well, theres always a next time Phantom
  21. Thank you gentlemen It was an amazing night Phantom
  22. Agggh no worries, I was just in need of a laugh. No disrespect meant either way and no offence taken either You should have seen me when I was morbidly obese at almost thirty stone Phantom
