  1. Totally revolting Scope (IMHO) But such a GORGEOUS sexy rifle Is it a genuine underleaver cocking and loading system? Like the original Winchester Repeaters of the old west. Phantom
  2. Well done Sean You do know you can't shoot them just for making a noise and arguing with the Crow don't you? Unless of course they were arguing about which one of them was going to knick those late fledglings and late eggs from the nest That is what they were doing wasnt it Funny you should say that about the Maggies and the Ferrets, I've just got a couple of kits and each day for the last week or two we have had a couple of Magpies in the garden at least 3 times a day now they can't get anywhere near the ferrets food and won't even be able to see it from where they land, but
  3. Didn't quite get the meaning of this post!!! He had a look at a pic of the gun on google and he like the look of it, as do I Phantom
  4. Davy, I've had one land in a similar position, but it was on its back Looks like thaat one was trying to take a wazz when you capped him :11: Well done guy's I'm still waiting on a new charger so I can get out on an evening now. Thought about going out during the day but, last few day trips; the lil buggers seem to be staying down again during daylight Phantom
  5. Take her out with you, (tell her she has to kill at least 5 bunnies before you part with your hard earned) Shoot bugs (preferably fairly close range one) through the noggin. Tell her to fetch and empty its bladder for you. then tell her to use her index finger to feel how its skull shattered as she does this, tell her to press down firmly and watch her squeal as the grey matter oozes out from the holes each side of the head. If she's not passed out on the floor then tell her to gut it and its hunters tradition that she drink the blood, marks her eye lids with blood, chews a turd til
  6. Just imagine it now, kiddie holding on for dear life; it'd be like riding a bucking bronco, especially when it was feeling randy with mrs big bunny :11: Phantom
  7. I dont know the shot count buddy, but if you know both the ME and capacity of the air cylinder, then CGP has a very good shot count Calculator in it For close range ferrals and rodents, how about something light and robust. If you were thinking of smk, then the xs19 is a little long and probably heavy for you, deadly springer though mines runnung untuned at 10.5ft/lbs. The QB's are quite light (not sure of ME though) or even a Ratty / King ratty I would also reccomend a lightish pellet and as your shooting close in, a flathead/wadcutter type. Less chance of it comming back at you.
  8. Get it Chronoed Preferably by someone from this forum or a club near you If you were to take it to another shop and they chronoed it for you and it was producing an ME over the Sub12 limit, the shop would be duty bound to confiscate it and pass it over to the authorities. If it is done by someone you know with a chrono and its over, you can then take action to have it reduced. I take it you didn't get the box and instructions with it. Surely they would have tested it rather than just assumed it had been lowered I am assuming they are talking about AirGuns. Even so the above sta
  9. The DealEXtreme is a the same as mine, but with a slightly lower output. The dimensions etc its virtually identical. If your thinking of forking out the kind of money for the Tiablo job, then there is a 900 or so Lumen version of the DealExtreme available from the same seller that I got my lamp from. You can also get very high powered Infra-red/NV bulbs for your NV setup Phantom

Hey Roger, I've expressed an interest in your other thread and one day hopfully in the not too distant future, I; like Si and Laura will be making it a reality, I know they are both really looking forward to the trip . Once I'm fit enough and back in employment (or self employment as I am hoping to be) I'll be saving every penny, may even bring my youngest daughter, she'd love to see part of Africa Phantom
  11. Hi Mal, MANY MANY Thanks bud, I've sent Tim the link Brilliant Phantom
  12. Hey Guy's I have been asked by a friend of mine over in the States if (copy and pasted from his message): So I said I would try to find out for him (cuz y'awl know I like to be helpful when I can). All the best guy's Phantom
  13. Boo!

Told you this place was the best for airgun hunting didn't I?

  14. Hellooooo Graeme :welcomeani: Not sure why I didn't get a notification of this thread, I'm subscribed to all new threads Oh well, The very simple answer to your question above, is quite simply AWSOME (I may be a little biased though ) Have a read of some of my threads. Regarding the pellet problem, make sure the barrel is pushed as hard up to the hilt as it will go; I made the mistake of fastening the barrel back down on my 1st strip and I experianced a very similar problem to what you described. I am assuming that the bolt goes all the way forward and locks down properly? Only
  15. Bugger! Just seen your PM; A little late to be calling now me thinks( 01:30 ish), I'll send you a text, later today and then you let me know what the best time to call you is (don't want to wind up calling you at work and getting you into bother!). Phantom
  16. Why didn't I think of doing that? I could fix it to the underside Nice one Gary Phantom
  17. Thats very kind of you buddy Although that turn off is only 10 minutes away from here by car; Sadly I don't have the transport to get there Perhaps in the not too distant future, we can meet up and have a few sessions together on rats and bunnies and if I can take this new lead on; (I was offered a referal today for a place with a major bunny problem, but its about an 45 minutes walk each way only about 4 minutes in car ) a very nice sounding permission a little closer to you Phantom
  18. Hell fire Aaron I wouldn't want to be shooting one of those things in a building, they are very close to the limit if I remeber correctly and would certainly go through a ferral at a decent range. For ratting and ferrals (usually done inside a bulding of some sort) I would want a substantially lower ME than a 12. The reason for that is that many buildings where ferrals accumulate, wharehouses, barns etc usually have a pretty fragile roof and I wouldn't want to be putting holes through it; insured or not. For ratting within the confines of a building, I would certainly not want a ri
  19. Hi Aaron, No with each generation of bunny that has an imunity to the virus, the following generation will be that bit stronger in it immunity I would imagine that an infected Doe could possibly give birth to kits that have the disease though. Im not sure on that though. But its main route of transmission is via the flea Phantom
  20. the mount that comes with the lamp phantom is showing on the lick is to mount strate to rifle , have a look at the pic in the link. maybe diffrent mounts needed??? Yes, your correct, I used to use the same one that RiffRaff is showing in his link to eBay. However a friend of mine gave me one of those figure of eight mounts made from metal, so I mounted the original mount (that came with the scope) onto the scope, upside down (my scope has a 30mm tube) and then I put the lamp into the figure 8 mount and fastened the figure 8 mount to the scope mount, bit of a hassle but its brilliant an
  21. And this is the one I use and more and more people are turning to them for lamping bunnies with air rifles.. Identical to the Deben one, a third of the price and twice the light output. further Batteries and charger are available for a couple of quid. Took only a week to arrive http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CREE-R2-LED-300Lumens-Tactical-Flashlight-Torch-Set-/170532000280?pt=UK_SportingGoods_Hunting_ShootingSports_ET&hash=item27b47fd218 Phantom
  22. Well done, Congratulations :clapper: Its a tremendous buzz when you win something, especially when you don't expect to win. Well done again. Phantom
  23. it doesnt matter if they eat all the rabbit. They would in the wild... And mixi, doesnt just spring up, it is a man made deseace. Your correct in most of what you say , However Myxie was not actually created by man, in its original form it was a native virus in Central/South America It was 'modified' by scientists into the form that we see today. Myxie can not just appear as it only form of infection is what they term "mechanical" that is it is spread Via an infected flea that bites the next bunny and infects that bunny via the blood. A myxie free flea will then bite and feed
  24. No mate, not had any time to get it sorted, its still in the same state as in the pic, but this winter I intend to get the HW77 and the old gun restored Oh yeah I was going to ask you about about your guns :tongue4: Phantom
