  3. Cheers Davy Bud. Was thinking of going out tonight, but just daren't Trigger finger has been getting some special treatment and was healing up well, decided to retrieve my loops from the fence in the paddock One got stuck, so I had to force it , wire snapped and cut my trigger finger right at the Distal and Middle Phalangeal Joint So its back to wearing the cream filled gloves at bedtime Phantom
  4. Cheers Dom, will do Well guess if it was one Callum, it'll be one of the family fecking about, theres 4 of em in the new section Phantom
  5. I've only worn them twice Cost me a tenner, the traditional green n black in the same place were 40+ and I knew I wouldn't be wearing very often so thought, I can live with them and if I get knocked over in the silt, the helicopter and river rescue should be able to spot the boots from the bloody bridge a mile away Your correct though Andy Some fantastic friendships have been created in this section and will continue to do so Looking forward to meeting you guys as well :friends:
  6. Hi Ron, It was probably just for the fleas my mistake, the comment was "To kill off certain things that could be harmful". Almost every one of the bunnies round here has fleas to some extent or another Which is why I am now so worried about the Myxie at the moment. It seems to be rife round this area for the last couple of years Luckily until last week there had not been any on my permission, but given the amount of fleas, I reckon it's gonna rip an new butthole in the bunny populus on my permissions Phantom
  7. Said it on the other thread John, Well done Nice little read as well, keep em comming Phantom
  8. And for what he did for me I would certainly second that Shay Phantom
  9. And an SP from me too You did very well for a 1st time Marti Phantom
  10. Thank you all Gentlemen Good work John They are little monsters, but great . The male is so laid back, the female thinks "If it moves, its mine" and that includes my feet I've been told to freeze the bunnies for minimum of 24 hours before reading them to the fezzers, to kill any harmful bacteria and fleas etc... Wife is certainly not happy about me putting meat in fur coats in the freezer, but thats her tough luck. I used to detest standing shots on live quarry, but a few nights with the rats has helped my standing shots immensely Case of fast target aquisi
  11. Sounds fantastic Si But Please don't put yourself out for me though :notworthy: Oh my wellies are BRIGHT FRICKIN YELLOW with steel toecaps and covered in inch thick River Humber Mud from my last session with the rod I'll have to dig out some paint or felt tips or summat to tone them down  Phanatom
  12. After the Myxie bunny the other day and Jo putting nags back in the paddock I decided to have a gander round the boneyard Got set up, checked the zero and took a wander, nowt about so went back and sat on the bench for a while pondering over some things. Turned very very cold all of a sudden and I decided, I just couldn't really be arsed with it. Decided one more wander around with the lamp and then home for a nice hot coffee. Got towards the dividing hedge between the old and new section and flicks on the lamp. One pair of eyes over by the fence between Mrs G's and the cemy. It leg
  13. Hi bud, Nice little tale there SPA for being a sarky git and making me laugh out loud Phantom
  14. Enjoy Martin, But dont be suprised if you don't hit anything Ranging with a lamp when you've never done it before is very hard work, especially more so if its new land And you'll probably loose follow through while your watching your little streak of light from the muzzle on its way, until you get used to seeing them Looks amazing when you first see it through the scope Phantom
  15. Yep Who's gonna trust me enough to hold my Sony ericson next to the target on video mode? Saying that I could try and nick the Sony Camcorder from the wife, she's only used it once to film me para-sailing and that was about 5 years ago Tony
  16. I love the way they use a Bolt action Centre Fire rifle with the croshair of the scope well off to the right and high Suppose Airgunning don't get any safer than when you arn't actually using an airgun Phantom
  17. Si be good to see the look on his face. sort out the little hush hush part mate rest ashured. should I be getting worried :11: Si, This xmas and especially the New Year WILL be VERY VERY SPECIAL And the gift, well to say I'm still a little 'Shellshocked' is very much an understatement I am sooo looking forward to having a couple of weeks with you guy's over there :notworthy: Tony
  18. Hi Andy, Your Over the Moon, I'm still way beyond the Oort Cloud!! (google it) Phantom
  19. Nice shot, I would still have taken the head shot though (or at a push a neck shot with a .22) especially on a bird of that size as I have no idea how large the breast muscles are or how strong the breast bone is. But yes, an air rifle is more than capable of despatching both Pheasant and Hare, I won't mention what else I know an air rifle is capable of bringing down with a well placed headshot, because it'll bring up all sorts of arguments, but there is a very good book called "Advanced Airgun Hunting" which shows you what a non fac airgun is capable of delivering to the plate P
  20. I rarely begin a shoot without checking Zero first, but I have done. My turrets are external, finger adjustable and just taking them out of the slip if I don't open it up all the way can turn them a half click or more, although it very rarely does. I've found with my new scope that once its set, its pretty much set for life with a particular pellet. But it does need redoing if I swap pellets. Phantom
  21. Never used the Super H's so cant comment on that part. As regards the flatheads, I'm with Andy on this one I would suggest that if your shooting towards a fragile roof a reduced power rifle would be handy. I have a couple that I have reserved for exactly that scenario One only cost me about 7 quid +post Phantom
  22. Awsome going guy's So you needed a change of under wear then Mind you if one had done that to mine, I'd have screamed like a girl You say you had one run at you, hell just wait till you have a few dozen comming at you The Farm Manager when I told him said "Best thing to do in that situation, is just stand still and let em pass" Nope my idea of playing footy and kicking em and stamping on em was way much more adrenaline fuelled fun (in hindsight that is at the time it was sheer terror!!!) By the way; Just how many do you have? Phantom
  23. Manual in your CnG inbox Shay Phantom
  24. Hey there Shay, Looks like another quality piece of kit I totally agree; there are more good blokes on this one section of the forum than there on all the other sections put together :friends: Phantom
