  5. I found a heavier slower dog better in woods ,1/2 cross being ideal,,,,,do agree with being schooled from young age in woods thou
  6. like it or not if you use to do deer often , your dogs will have run them in woods at some point and quite often ...that's if you did them often
  7. I agree with coursing dogs ,but I wouldn't say the Bull x is better now than then , maybe a few Gen X are from a few well guarded lines, but its been peddled so much there's more shit than good out there ,With a gen F1 you don't have the same standard of pure bull you use to have
  8. in lay mans terms Neal , whats that mate lol, all I know is any x if 1x what ever the breed its 4/8 s / 4/8s , and supposedly the same % . But ive heard a lot of people say the bitches genes do seem to dominate more as the base line , to a greyhound sire .? it deff did with my pup, and the rest of litter , as they 6 pups deff took to her, but size I think to the sire 29in greyhound . Are you saying a 1st cross will always result in pups of equal percentage or that sometimes they will throw one way or another? Can't work out what you are trying to say mate? on paper a 1x % is
  9. They are ,BP vest have plates in a pocket on the front and back as well as what stab vest has ,id very much doubt a bolt/arrow would pass through the first plate ,you can get different plates but most will stop a 7.62, some you can get will stop a .50 but weigh about 30lb lol...............not 100% on stab vests but they don't have plates and are a lot lighter
  10. not a chance , body armour or bulletproof vests have a front plate and a back plate ,no way it would go through the 2 plates and the body ,,,,id very much doubt it would go through a half tidy sets front plate to be honest ,but i will find out
  11. That's the problem thou ain't it. More grey or other less chance of doing what bull x is breed for. of course but loads don't see this ,its got bull in it so shouldn't jack whatever its given  you cant put in what the lord didn't
  12. I think once your dogs doing what you want it to do ,your testing yourself as much as the dog knowing how far to push it Would you have a 1/4 bull 3/4 greyhound and expect it to do the same as a 1/2 ?.....then get disappointed when it jacks ?
  13. He aint got ano mates. beetle juice ,beetle juice
  14. 3/4 no wind ......1/2 when going gets tough wont beat it .................3/8 with coursing blood instead of g/hound best all-round cross for me
  15. Im sure as long as names are not mentioned ,dogs names mean nothing ,they have been mentioned thousands of times on loads of web sites over the years ,the damage will have long been done there and most of these dogs are long gone RIP
