  2. your male would put 25%saluki25%grey in to the pot your bitches sire put in(3/8)37.5%saluki(1/8)12.5%grey your bitches dam was a bitza so perhaps unknown%? So at best your pups will be just ever so slightly(52%) saluki, 48% bitza with at least 18% grey+what ever %grey was in the bitza, this would increase the saluki % if there was any in the bitza, but on paper not overly saturated with saluki IMHO Y.I.S Leeview

    NET BAG.

Car boot sales are a better option for keep/landing net bargains although these do snag on everything try and get something nylon ie umberella and use that Y.I.S Leeview
  4. A lot of variables to consider; hemp3or5ply,nylon or poly 4z,6z or 10z? is it traditional set or quickset? does it include basket poles?height and bagging? Sorry for being negative but you can see the value would reflect in what it is? Y.I.S Leeview

  6. I've been looking at other show details on the net and came across Bath Canine Society, who are holding an all breeds championship show next month, now they have made an ammendment to the schedule and basically they are doing away with charging the public admission (£4)this will allow docked puppies to be shown as its then free admission now it does nt explain why you cant show a dog docked after the legislation came in if the public pay admission but you can show them if there is free admission. I just cant see the connection myself? and last time I attended gys you had to pay to get in to t
  7. The sign thats always puzzled me SLOW CATTLE CROSSING BUT THEY NEVER TELL YOU WHERE THE FASTER CATTLE ARE CROSSING Y.I.S Leeview
  8. I've added my points on the GYS topic IMHO when the ban was being discussed initially the first London visit Hyde Park clashed with the terriers at GYS did not deter the rosette hunters that day they still went to GYS Y.I.S Leeview
  9. As the person who invited you I can understand where you are coming from ?. I myself will attend on the day and resign as politics have nothing to do at this show ,this decision was made behind closed doors by top gys men(scabs) so please do what you think is right and let hope shit hits the fan ?. Sorry you had to hear it this way mate, just got youre number of Arther, but if you don't make a stand then whats the next step ?. Who whants to be the judge on the day when it all goes tits upwards and instead of 70 terriers in each class theres 7 and all with un docked tails. When i was
  10. Allright Leeview,i dont personally know you, but know enough to know you are serious about the game. I see pest control as a reason getting thrown into the mix, backing up the reason for ferreting long into the breeding season, killing milky does and countless young. Fair play you have to show a result to secure the permission, but why not put the effort in during the correct windows most call a season? If you are unable to get out that much to do the job in that window, why not let a few young shavers get out and take over the land and do the job rather than ferret it well into breeding s
  11. Yes still ferreting a few young ones about,my ferrets kill and move on Im using 2 speyed jills at the moment and have nt had a dig for a couple of month As for killing next seasons sport my permission is pest control, yet to meet a landowner who gives permission for sport where rabbits are concerned Y.I.S Leeview
  12. Paying your entry fees is playing right in to their hands i.e 5-6-700 entries looks good on paper so to the organisers its of little consequence, boycott it and the numbers are down then they'll take notice Y.I.S Leeview
  13. Just clicked on the link very misleading information being spouted tried to join but there is no submit button Y.I.S Leeview
  14. Yorkshire Evening Post Tuesday 13/4/10 3 lads caught lamping adjacent to Garforth Golf Club 2 lurchers and a staffie confiscated along with there lamps and fined £580 Y.I.S Leeview
  15. Looks positively fuming to me Y.I.S Leeview
  16. Good point as the terrier show has its own entrance gate and car park and the dogs aren't allowed on the rest of the showground Y.I.S Leeview
  17. i have a 50yrd quickset for ferreting, that would be enough for me,i will be using it at night also, why not get a 50yrd + 25 yrd instead of 3 25 yrd then you have the best of both.hope this helps atb my net + basket came from jbs nets cheers but i think i might go for 3x25 as it a bit more versatile like. i was told master hunter is the place to go is he on this site ? no problem,it's what ever suits you,i have heard of master-hunter and he comes with a good name, here is the web site............. www.masterhunter.co.uk here are the prices 50 yd length 4z £135.00 <LI>50

  19. He would do as he was regional secretary for the Yorkshire region of the BFSS,and it was he who initiated the Great Yorkshire Terrier Show Y.I.S Leeview
  20. Lets be honest here, this could be last straw for the Great Yorkshire Terrier Show but its been going down hill for a few years since Tony Kirby ran it a true gentleman that stood by his roots amongst the terrier lads and looked after them The shower that took over what did they do with the entry fees?, Hiked them up from £1-05 yes to over £5 in one go boycott the show its the only way they'll sit up and take notice if it hits them in the pocket Y.I.S Leeview
  21. Archer did! Swampy Kill 'em, Kill 'em all! Ning ps To ning is to know, knowledge is beautiful TRUE but he was a conservative and we had Labour in power Y.I.S Leeview
  22. Paid neither of your choices will ever bring back hunting as we knew it, the conservatives have given us hope of a free vote to repeal this ban, true no govt has ever done anything for lurchers and owners that did nt have permission before pre-ban well nothing will of really changed for them but others with permission will be allowed to run hares again. The repeal if lifted will return us to pre-ban days not picking out bits that suit their mates Y.I.S Leeview
  23. Absolutely! There is a real chance that there could be. The first time since Callaghan I believe. It basically means that no party has a clear majority in parliament and that it is basically power sharing. the incumbent PM will however remain. Which means that if we do have a hung parliament (God forbid) the we'll STILL have an unelected PM. A scottish one at that! rgds Swampy swinging on the end of a rope ning In theory Swampy if the 2 major parties were roughly level 24% each could the libdems form a coalition and take power? Your reference to Callaghans hung parliament wi
