  2. Early day Ryedale meetings were lets say unpredictable 2nd in slips and did nt get a run on Mick E's gallops when they used to meet Mondays Some great days at North Lincs if you did nt get too the meet for 9.00am they moved across land to the running ground and you had little chance of finding them Y.I.S Leeview
  3. they were nearly all track dogs tbh the ground was too horrendous to risk running anything you thought a lot of,Rupert turned the club around when he took over talked the landowners round and started running beside the village and first week in February after the shooting had finished and a better class of dogs that did nt make the Waterloo Cup,by this time the Pigeon Pie had closed and just the East Riding was left. Remember Rupert winning at a Ryedale meeting and Mrs Hall telling him to put the dog away and look after it,Rupert told her he could nt as John will be lamping it tonight and mi

  14. When we were using the lure machines we used to have the lure 90degrees to the side of the run up, possibly 8-10yds away to prevent the dogs running at you and the machine to turn the lure we used supermarket tolley wheels with the tread removed these were bolted onto a chequer plate with 4 holes drilled so we could anchor it to the ground, keeping the lure under the dogs nose the lure would shoot to the side and the dogs overshoot and the lure was safely concealed out of their way. 15. Never considered breeding from a bitch till shes 6+. Someone mentioned 21/2yrs for fitness well IMHO a bitch would of only worked one full season by that age and will be far from the finished article as far as work goes you should bar injury get another 4 good seasons work out of her,too many pups are bred from bitches before they've peaked in work and matured to their full capabilities once again IMHO Y.I.S Leeview
