  2. OK Ldr nobody's got a crystal ball the obvious thing would be to divide 50/50 the prize money and be done with it IMHO(not that thats ever meant anything to you) both dogs will be older and what provisions for one or both getting injured for the final when they're both ready to go now? Y.I.S Leeview
  3. Goldfinger:I notice Mally's on your doorstep get in touch with him and go round and see how to run a longnet out and how it works before you purchase one Y.I.S Leeview
  4. Why the need to breed from 4 jills? "Found it hard to tell which was mother to which kit" did you know who the father was for your records? as there would of been several possible options surely? Y.I.S Leeview
  5. Percentage would depend on what x's are already Y.I.S Leeview
  6. Sorry Maxhardcore but some of the blame has to be levelled at the organisers it started in September and the competitrors should of been made aware they had to be completed by the end of September in order to progress to the next round which should of been completed by the end of October and so on If it was nt completed they were out no ifs no buts run to deadlines plain and simple for all competitors not dragged on until the back end of the season once again.Y.I.S Leeview
  7. This was the opening post, so from what I've seen replied these dogs were around about the time of the ban? I was looking forward to some older posts of dogs from way back that were doing foxes, coursing dogs Hoover,Laddie, of course Eve and Merlin all get mentioned regularly on this subject, but when did foxes become "the in thing" because I cant recall many lurchers taking them going back to the 60's you had either a rabbiting dog or a hare courser Y.I.S Leeview
  8. Seems you've bought a dog and been misled about its breeding IMHO Y.I.S Leeview

  10. What happened to the SplodgexKelp youngster you bought the other week? Not physically possible that Splodge sired any pups of that age Y.I.S Leeview
  11. i think once you tune the rules you'l have a better comp then LDR from reading other posts about the land that had been ran on in other comp especially for semi finals was poor you seem commited to make things work and right and thats what a comp for running dogs should be about. THE RUNNING OF THE DOG . like you said its early days so your not gonna be able to have all the answers straight away for people but give the bloke a chance he seems to be heading in the right dirrection. no offence ldr but i would never run in a comp if the person who was organising everything hasnt even got usable l

  15. good topic dafydd i have a simillar idea as you the the litter brother to my bitch is the ideal type off dog i would like to cross my bitch with.if some one could answer what do they consider as line breeding my take on it is if you have a good line to keep it going as your own line you have to some where cross the same bloodlines together the question been how close is ok When my dad was breeding whippets he swore by line breeding he wanted the dog and bitch to both have the same grandsire(but not to the same bitch)on the dogs side and on the dams side of their pedigree, but no closer t

  17. How old is the bitch? has she ever been suppressed? not all greyhound bitches do have regular seasons, dont know how effective those jabs are now but have known them to bring them into season but does nt guarantee they will ovulate Y.I.S Leeview
  18. If no ones got one how would they know if it would be a good cross? Y.I.S Leeview
  19. CORRECT if there is a guard dog on the premises there has to be a handler with it(UK Law) brought about over a child climbing over a wall to get a football back and getting mauled to death back in the 70's hence the reason those 2 acts were brought in Y.I.S Leeview
  20. So all they were doing was replacing EXACTLY what they had taken from the dog? The USA olympic cycle team were using this method in the 90's. Think about the blood pressure? the strain on the heart and muscles and the veins and arteries carrying this extra amount of blood through them? bit like over inflating a tyre can have the reverse effect to what you want. Suspected it was going on in Irish Coursing greyhounds but could nt be proven How many lurcher coursing vans hve you seen fitted out like Boots the chemist? Oxygen bottles were considered the norm, drips to assist the kidneys clear th
