  1. Absolutely! There is a real chance that there could be. The first time since Callaghan I believe. It basically means that no party has a clear majority in parliament and that it is basically power sharing. the incumbent PM will however remain. Which means that if we do have a hung parliament (God forbid) the we'll STILL have an unelected PM. A scottish one at that! rgds Swampy swinging on the end of a rope ning In theory Swampy if the 2 major parties were roughly level 24% each could the libdems form a coalition and take power? Your reference to Callaghans hung parliament wi
  2. Happened in Leeds a few years back when the trains went electric,2 brothers tried to get the overhead copper wires by lifting it from a footbridge over the line, apparently they thought that the lines would nt earth them because they were above it according to the one that survived Y.I.S Leeview

  4. Fair play to you genuine you cant make your mind up,well IMHO there is only one party offering any hope of a repeal,so they'll get my vote regardless of what else they tax us with going back to the Ban, when this was going through the very same arguments were spouted that we were just cannon fodder for the hunting brigade lurchers and terrier work was to be the sacrificial lamb for them to keep their sport and what happened the hunts were banned from hunting foxes, deer and hares BUT you can still use terriers to control foxes whilst protecting ground nesting birds mad I know but lets wait

  7. I have done brother/sister matings several times over the years and never had any defective kits. I inbreed at least every 3 generations to make sure I haven't brought any defective genes into my breeding program. But then I have and breed only sables (polecat color and markings) with full dark nose pigmentation from a solid sable background with no dilutes or white markings. It probably is wise not to inbreed or linebreed silvers and/or DEWs, or albinos with those genes behind them. Are you UK based please? as we refer to polecat rather than sable Y.I.S Leeview

  13. mate you live and learn been told the above on many a time so it was my belief it was true and my last post dont see much wrong with it since better explained. and have watched many a hare course not recent but that was my understanding. still didnt answer my other questions with the hare coursing is it still point done . so many points for leading up so many for the turn of the hare and so on or has it become more track designed as i thought originally coursing was all about the points hence why lure simulated coursing is meant to be of the same process but not using the hare SPEED-one,two

  17. wullieh old ground here ferrets with waardenberg's does nt mean the ferret is deaf although it can be in some cases and equally a deaf ferret does nt neccessarily have to have waardenburgs Y.I.S Leeview your right, but ferrets with the white stripe are carriers of waarenberg syndrome and have higher chance of being deaf than the std ferret. I'd be more inclined to believe ferrets with the white stripe CAN be carriers of waardenburgs not every ferret with a stripe would have waardenburgs? Deafness is very common in many white animals not just ferrets Y.I.S Leeview

  19. Bloody hell, I was wondering where you were. You have a similar amount of knowledge of working, 'Lee'. Your knowledge of genetics is somewhat sparser though.... Find me a reference that proves a 'working' gene and I'll believe you. Until then, I remain sceptical. While you're at it, you could find a reference that says Waardenbergs is contageous waardenbergs is cotageous? Ove the year i have had ferres i have never found this to be the case WHY purley because it is not the case. droid trying to be humourous Ive argued that not one case of Waardenburgs has been proven in
  20. You have a similar amount of knowledge of working, 'Lee'. Your knowledge of genetics is somewhat sparser though.... yes you have a greater knowledge of genetics through reading/studying books my experience comes from hands on working and noting whats happening got your peas in yet? Y.I.S Leeview
  21. So you say the instinct to work isn't the same in all ferrets. Mind, from what you've said, that seems to be more to do with the temperament of the ferret. Hey droid have I ever told you this very same thing? Totally agree romany52 we have a similar amount of knowledge making 100yrs between us of keeping/working ferrets,I predict this thread will deteriate from here on due to droid believing that (a)all ferrets will work and( you cant breed for work because there isnt a gene for it Y.I.S Leeview This is getting very interesting, i think that all ferrets will work given the chan
