gypsy's not had the pups yet then? she 's due any day now and was nt suzie or was it fly mated to dodger earlier this week or did you forget about these pending litters? Y.I.S Leeview

these mods on wwf have just mated their said dogs even though he has a litter on at present Now last year the said mod judged a working whippet show and the other mods dog did n't get placed by him So by that reckoning there was at least 3 better dogs in the class that were pulled out in front of the "supposedly best dog in the country" Y.I.S Leeiew

True..the golf course owner i shoot for always comes out of his house to have a look around at the new damage they'v caused. Irecenly mensioned about young there and asked him what he would like me to do. His reply was kill them on sight But when it came to doing it, it was harder than i first thought for two reasons.. 1. they dont cause as much damage as the adults and 2. I like rabbit pie and i wont get many of them off this land if i kill them now. So yep there still there for another day. If however he mentions them again then they go It's not easy trying to keep us both happy

the word sporting is mentioned right through this topic How many of you have sporting permission from the landowner? or are you just clearing the rabbits for a tennant which is pest control? there is a big difference Y.I.S Leeview

Just to clarify this point out, these breeders mate their angora jills to an angora hob this produces 100% angora kits that as has been stated the angora jill cant produce enough milk(does produce some just not enough) So to get round this hitch they have another jill mated at the same time as their angora jill to the angora hob these kits are where the 50% angora kits come from, as the two jills are kept together to raise all the kits Obviously the 100% angoras go for a lot more £££ than the 50% angoras but these are still a lot dearer than ferrets Y.I.S Leeview

Similar theme;groom and I have been through a lot over the years......luckily none of them have turned up today Or its good to see so many guests that have travelled a long way to get here today, it was easy to pick them out as nobody around here has wheel trims left on their cars Good Luck On The Day Y.I.S Leeview

Are rabbits giving my ferrets the run around?
Leeview replied to coneykenny's topic in Ferrets & Ferreting

ferret pregnant is she or isnt she
Leeview replied to shootingmadgeorge's topic in Ferrets & Ferreting
either of you two ever bred a litter before? First sign of a jill being pregnant is between 4(nearer 5) weeks when she will shed her coat prior to dropping the kits at 6weeks after mating Y.I.S Leeview -
Judges for Ballywalter Game Fair
Leeview replied to AlbertJ's topic in Gamefairs, Meet Up's and Events
Albert,First and foremostly this has never been a personal attack on you,but the polcies you and your colleagues have insitu, however, you seem to have taken it to above and beyond another level. Point 1) if you could highlight to me, exactly where in all of my 6 replies have I spoke of Rose(other than page 3 reply34) or Fox Gun Tom for that matter? ~ I await your reply on that one. 2)I have repeatedly asked if you and your gundog fraternity would be happy with a judge that was not familiar with gundogs being appointed at your field trials as a judge?~I await your answer 3)You ask -
Is that in between feeds and changes Y.I.S Leeview

Judges for Ballywalter Game Fair

1. As far as it is relevant John Beach was the land agent of Shanes. He was friendly with the guy who ran Chatsworth and would not have needed you to get him tickets. Who mentioned Chatsworth? it was infact the CLA at Harewood House 2."Anyone claiming to work their dogs when they dont would soon be found out IMHO". How would it be found out at a show that they didn't work their dogs - you have only to see the spats on this forum about whether people work their dogs or not or how well ? But I suppose you would claim to be able to look at a guy and say right away whether he worked his dogs -

Sean, Fair play to you for coming back on under your own name. I admire a man who steps up to the mark on a challenge. " I've known Seamus Irwin from the 90's(were nt you supposed to come over to England with him around that time to see how lurcher shows were run over here? That is not the case - I normally leave the clubs running the events to decide on how they run them and Seamus had been running the Terrier & Lurcher show at the fair since 1981 until we changed organisers last year. Could it of been John Beech then? Have I ever judged-if so where and when? "Well yes I ha -

Now a challenge for you - you have shot your mouth on many occasions so now why not do it under your own name instead of hiding behind an alias? AND lets know on what authority you criticise anything? What have you won with your dogs in racing or showing - if so where and when? Have you ever judged - if so where and when ? Better still let's see photo's of your 'working dogs' to see what you think is the sort of lurcher that we should select judges to give top awards to ? Tell us what you would want a judge to look for in a 'working dog'? The name Leeview comes from a well known -

"I would nt think of supporting a show judge on the basis of 'he works his dogs' So you dont mind supporting a judge that wins plenty of racing to be satisfactory to lads that are entering a working lurcher show? :hmm: Y.I.S Leeview -
Hi mate, could you tell me what is the difference with it please. thanks. the purse net twine is too heavy/thick for longnets, the longnet twine is a lot finer than the purse net twine Y.I.S Leeview

OH Rose is judging the racing then because thats what her dogs do? Dont see much evidence of her ever been ferreting, coursing(except as a spectator St Stephens Day meeting) foxing, ratting or even having a mouch with her dogs? the dogs your asking her to judge do these things regularly. Now Barrie Wade is an outstanding judge of terriers and what to look for in working terriers, not surprisingly he works them not races them. Y.I.S Leeview -
spun poly is fine for long and stop nets, get the 2 or 3 strand and double it up to knit with Y.I.S Leeview

No its a busy railway.the warrens are mostly at the edge of the field in a dip and not many holes on the banking I'd be very wary of using dogs in that scenario IMHO Y.I.S Leeview
-
YES thats bullshit they dont need heat the pet brigade keep ferrets in blacked out rooms with the lights on a time switch 3 hours dark 3hours light and that screws the ferrets head into thinking the days are equal daylight and darkness and come into seaso all year round Y.I.S Leeview
-
selvedges are heavier(some prefer to double 2 strands of what the net is made from or a heavier twine) meshes on the top and bottom of the net that the top and bottom line runs through Y.I.S Leeview

I know that this topic isnt just about your show but your show is one of the first shows this year and im worried that everyone else is going to follow in your footsteps and leave the whippet racing out of there shows to . speedy you worry to much, other shows will do their own thing not follow me,the thing with being first is i get to try it first,if it works thats great but if it doesnt then i get slated and the other shows do it different.i dont mind taking a bit of stick but as an organizer and a whippet owner im sick of all the rubbish about racing whippets at a show.theres a few on her
