  1. Foxes are still legal too hunt, but I'm not sure about the brown hare, think its illegal under a hare protection law.
  2. Think anyone given the chance would hit the switch on their excistense. How they are getting out, let alone another chance at life is beyond me. Not even facing what they have caused to anyone.
  3. How do you sign petition. Was waiting in them two b*****ds getting out, and kne wthey would get this treatment. They should have never got out of prison alive
  4. Avast and spybot, cleared up my mrs laptop no problem since then, had avg on and got trojans still.
  5. Have you got the drawstring fixed to the bottom net ring? If so does it hold well enough when used?
  6. Fat Ferret is a good bloke to deal with, and knows his longnets, a genuine hunter on this site.
  7. I don't think there is any company that does anything like this, over than maybe zoos, etc would think it is more local exotic keepers volunteering, which isn't a bad thing to do in itself, but doubt it will pay much, if anything. Have you thought about geting your dog into visiting hospitals etc to help sick patients? again don't know details and likely be voluntary, butr could be a way into working with animals. alternatively, see what your nearest zoo/animal park does, maybe yoy could get qualifications that way and branch out that way. Hope you get something, not the easiest of
  8. if kept in optimum conditions then hibernation shouldn't be needed then. Take the advise of the people here who keep them and have the experience.
  9. If i remeber rightly horsefields are from russian steppes area, so they would naturally have a cold winter, a climate similar to ours. how do you keep them? indoors or out? I would say yes to hibernate, but only if they are healthy and heavy enough to go through it, there's likely more expert advice on a reptile forum, but there is a few boys on here with herp knowledge who could maybe advise more, lizards was more my area.

Do agree that community tanks although nice don't compare to area specific set ups. Used to run th efish/reptile section in the local garden centre and took great pleasure in setting up display tanks for different regions with appropriate live plants and species. Give s people a good idea and whats what. Discus where a pain in the hole to work with, but they are stunningly beautiful fish, and some of the cichlids set up in an all rock aquarium can be amazing to look at. Never got on with the marines totally but would be worth it if you had an interest. And whoever said about shops te

just be careful with what you add, tiger barbs are nice but will nibble fins off everything they can. Plenty of stuff you can keep, what size is your tank, and what type of fish do you like? and you mean neon tetras? not the hardiest fish to start a tank off, and generally will be on the menu for most things bigger than it, though some of the nicest tanks I hae seen have been well planted small tanks with a good shoal of neons under a good light, with a couple of corydoras or similar, and som wsurface fish, hatchet fish or butterfly fish.
  12. bloody good job. But shows the indecency of them when they will try and appeal, and take all the woman has left of her mother and family home.
  13. pm me if you want more help to get it sorted, will do my best to help you. If you can make a net you can shape them.
  14. From myself, i found that having 16/18 meshes of heavy twine on the ring was to much, you don't need it as long as the net has enough belly in the middle to purse and hold the rabbit. A lot of twine around the ring makes it harder to set the ring into the ground if thats how you set them, plus more net there is the more to tangle, even heavy twines will pick up the odd stick etc I find the shaped nets easier to set, as you put the first few meshes down the bury anyway you have the full width at the bulk of the burrow mouth anyway too. if that make sense. Also shaping them is more econ
  15. Due to domestic reasons I am having to rehome two bitches. I have terrier spaniel cross and a collie. Both used for bushing rabbits and mooching, and could ferret if brought on. Have pushed a fox or two around too. The terrier x is around 17" and the collie 18"ish Colie is liver and white and terrier x is black and coat like a beddy. I will try and get some pictures on as soon as I can. Both mark holes and the collie has enough speed that she is able to catch some rabbits and the terrier cross has a habit of lifting them out of the grass, has a good nose for woodcock too. If anyone is
  16. Lookin good, looks like really good ground, all mine is thick hedgerows, would love just one open set ferrets looking good, and the dog is a cracker.
  17. sounds good, i add a few into the christmas stuffing too, just cook and peel then chop them up a bit and throwin the mix. But prefer just eating them with a beer.
  18. That makes sense. Only thing is it will only affect law abiding dog owners, same as gun laws only affect legal gun owners.
  19. I only caught the headlines as it was bedtime for my wee girl, but that's what was said, wife heard it too but she was in kitchen so paying no attention either. It's ridiculous to have anything increase in one go like that, Just think your 4 dog pack at £20 a year will be £200. Where else would inflation run at that rate. Also on the headlines was a load of email address had been posted on the net, gmail, hotmail yahoo etc so change all your passwords.
  20. was on the bbc1 news last night, I just caught the headlines. don't think it'll make much difference. Could understand in a town but in the country i've never seen anyone coming round to check for licenses. The mirochipping wouldn't be a bad idea too, but I think if they wanted it compulsory it should be lowered inprice, or even included in the license fee. People who don't pay the £5 aren't going to pay £50, and wouldn't stop breeders as they just won't register anything anyway.
  21. The sun conures are a stunning bird always planned on getting one but got out of the bird hobby but still put them down as prettiest bird.
  22. Just caught on the news that the price of a dog license in NI is going up from £5 to £50!!! and microchipping to be compulsory by june. About time they cut the dog license fullstop.
  23. lucky sod. been looking out for them for years and not found one tree, cost silly money to buy them too, imported from italy etc have fun eating them, and if your stuck try jamie olivers idea, when there warm drop them in a jar of brandy and preserve them that way.
  24. Aye, they must think it's funny, distructive little shits. Known of a cockatoo that delighted in stripping the plaster of the owners wall, front room looked like a block of swiss cheese. But they are worth it, don't keep any anymore but likely will one day.
  25. I had a blue headed conure, was very loud, coukd hear him half a mile away if the weather was right. was also a little shit for ringing his bell at 6 every morning for feeding, okay but not on a sunday. when i took the bell away he would flick water at me until i got up and fed him.
