  1. We have had half size lobsters and good sized crabs when fishing up here on the north antrim coast. Just got a couple of cheap pop up traps n throw em in by rocks and harbour walls. Missed a keeper of a crab as it couldnt get in the entry, we could see it plain so water wasnt that deep. Got a couple of frames made up and just waiting to find some decent material for mesh, and hopefully get some keepers. Catch lots of rockling in them too, and see a good bit on making prawn traps from plastic bottles.
  2. No deer round my parts was hardly any fecking rabbits too hahaha
  3. That iris test there is very interesting, never heard of it. Also makes sense tho
  4. Yeah, im a bit worried about the jumping tbh, its all stock fencing n barbed wire round here. Always encouraged them bfre to go thru, not over. Im hoping to get some bettet pics tommorro, now I kno how. Better light and good side views of them both.
  5. Had a twinkling it might b a trait. She bounces all over, n seems to enjoy doing it. White one doesnt. Brindle, she made a superman leap from armchair to sofa recently too.
  6. Yeah that brindle has kangaroo blood in it, has been fit to jump up n down since it was 9 or 10 wks old. Thank god they too big now fr the lets hide under the sofa game doesnt show that well in that light, but she starting to take an orangey/ginger colour base coat.
  7. Not the best of images, but its late and littlun was working the camera
  8. Yeah it was handy, but it was just me and the dog. Never lamped witg other people. And I was spending a lot of quality time out with her day and night.
  9. Daytime, never on a lead. Hunted up along witg the terrier cross, handy dog fr pheasants. But a mad notion on squirrels. Would go all moon eyed staring up into the trees
  10. My old lurcher, was only ever on a lead on the road. Lamped at heel off the slip, and ran on cue. But I wasnt working at that time and was spending a lot of time out with her.
  11. It all sounds good, hope I can do them justice, the wee brindle I got really looks promising to me, cautious but forward, and if she carries on growing the way she is now she gonna b a cracking looking dog. The white one, she just bulls into anything new, but squeals if hits a nettle watched some of the mentioned youtube clips and really am impressed by these dogsl, was alwayd a bit cold towards salukis, more because I was mainly rabbits n leaning towards fox, but they definately changing my mind
  12. Seems to be a popular line and breeding then. Last time I had a lurcher was four years ago and tbh I havent kept an eye on the hunting world since, but there never seemed to b as many saluki whippets then, or not asavailable. Was more bull x than anythings, thats why im interested to see pics n vids of these type, as im kinda taken with these pups already
  13. Sorry to bump an old thread, was just wondering if the fella with a pup from same litter as my two read this, and if there's any chance of seeing any pics. Im gonna adjust the settings on phone camera and try and aadd a couple of these two this evening.
  14. Oh they will definately get plenty of that, no worries bout that
  15. Bit worried that ill be wasting them now I know a bit more about the type of them
  16. Mainly lamping, ferretin n mooching about. I work shifts so they'll have to b fit to do a bit of everything. Potfillers mainly. But if they have potential to b anything else, hopefully I can get advised from people more in the know
  17. That sizes sounds bout right for me tbh, the white one is definately smaller and a lot lighter of the two. The brindle I think.will make a fair size tho. is.there any footage or pictures of any of these dogs around anywhere. olast lurcher I had was a bull wheaten grey, dad kept whippet collies. But is first with any saluki blood ive kept myself.
  18. I tried to add one, but im working with the phone only and wasnt able to get it up, file to big. Be extremely helpful and interesting to me myself, to b in touch with the boys in the know aswell. Especially a few years down the linewhen they up and running
  19. Great so they definately are as good as I was told, or potentially. The fella really was a great help to me, did me a big favour meeting me halfway etc. So if u kno him personally could u pass my thanks on
  20. Woyld it definately be the same litter then?
  21. Would he have any pics of it at all? Yeah these two yelp at times, but shut up as soon as they hit the sofa. Both have different characters too
  22. So is there anyone you know who would keep similar lines, bred down with whippets? The two pups I have both have marked difference in size and weight already
