  5. hi mate ,i would try using different ammo as winchester bullets have a wax coating that could be the cause of your jamming, there was a thread regarding this problem on here very recently hope this is of use to you cheers tam p.s. welcome to this site im sure you will find it very useful as i have
  6. They're called Bare Ersed Boxers round here
  7. The bitch you have there Bolty looks very like a bitch that i have in my kennels she didnt come from up here in scotland did she mate ? the pups look the biz and i would not let them go for any less than £250 i used to breed working russels and all but the ones that i sold to mates went for £250 and i still get emails praising the dogs that i bred and some of them will be four yrs old now keep at it mate the right people will know a good dog and pay a good price and it will stop the pups falling into the wrong hands
  8. well done mate ,keep up the good work
  9. no you can use 223 in scotland on roe so 22/250 is fine to. in england you can use 223,22/250 on munjac and cwd but not roe. which is abit silly as if its fine to use them in scotland why not here ???? hi dogga ,jamie g has hit the nail on the head and it is beond me why you guys down south are not permitted to take roe with 22-250 as it has awsome stopping power where roe are concerned to the extent that i have started this thread to find ways of limiting the dammage caused by the 22-250 round the roe certainly do not know what has hit them
  10. cheers Ads, it was not the accuracy of the load that i had the problem with i was looking for a load that will not cause as much hydrostatic shock on impact so i may have to look at dropping down to lighter heads and loads until i find a suitable load that still has the stopping power and is still within the legal limit here in scotland mate Tam

  18. Ive just bought a Tikka T3 hunter in 22-250rem and looked at about 10 different sound mods ,i had a T8 on my old remington 22-250rem but was not that struck on the quality but after a very lengthy discussion with the gunsmith on the pros and cons of the different mods i opted to buy another T8 as they have changed one or two things design wise and the new one is a wee bit shorter and it has a bit more thickness where they used to split at the spot welds and it seems not to "ring" like the old model BUT REMEMBER TO REMOVE YOUR T8 WHEN NOT IN USE AND USE WD40 INSDE THE MOD AS THIS WIILL PREVE
  19. thanks v-max that will give me some other avenues to try ....cheers
