hi dunc its standard practice for them to inspect for new licence or renewal mate

I think that they are allowed to call anytime to do spot checks so its adviseable to keep everything locked away when your not using it mate keeps everyone safe ,and gives them nothing to hold against you when you renew

I think that you probably be better with an air rifle as long as you think first about backstop etc less noise nusance for neibours or members of the public using the park mate but safety has to be paramount .bear in mind that the general public lift the phone to the police 9 times out of 10 if they hear gunshots -

I got a bit of advice from an old guy who is sadly no longer around and it seems to work i used it when i had a very week ferret kit you could say the runt of the litter and it was to feed it with warmed ambrosia creamed rice "that will put a back on it" he used to say i passed this info on to a friend that had rehomed a mal-nourished alsation and it seemed to work for it aswell
