    What really surprised me was how hard the big pistols were to hit the target!! I struggled to hit a head size target at 50 yards! Mind you that could have been the beer lol

    Any else tried these shooting ranges abroad. I did on Sunday and really enjoyed it. Fired guns from small cal hand guns to a 50 cal dirty Harry gun and a semi auto machine gun!! I felt like a bloody Taliban freedom fighter lol.

    Well I think his books are class. The pictures are second to none and he writes about days in the field. If you want a book about health and neutrision then buy penny's book. If you want one about different Xs and training then buy frank sheardowns. And if you want 50000 words and no pictures then buys plummers. Simples!

    I read an article of type ratchers once, and when he said he will only collect a pup if it's 5 weeks and 4 days old exactly.... I lost interest in any further articles

    If you get on well with the farmer, can you ask him if you can use it to get your ticket, even though you will never shoot your rifle there. As sort of a favour really.

    I had the same problem. Took me ages to sort it out. Reversing the mounts, front to back etc.

    You can get extra land once you have your ticket. All you need to do is call your fao and they will check it out. Once you have a Rifle it's much easier to get permission. It's hard to get it before as your asking the farmer to control vermin and then when he says yes, you've got to then get your ticket and come back in 6 months!

    My best ferreting day is 36. But round my way that's a good bag. To be fare I havnt traveled that far ferreting, probally only about 30 miles from where I live. I've had more with the Rifel at night but you can cover some miles that way, shooting 2 or 3 in each field and covering over 20 or 30 fields.

    Fao has just visited, and I was wrong about the night in question. It was regarding a night 2 weeks previous. My friend had gained some local rabbiting permission, do on passing one night we shone the lamp into the field to see if any rabbits were present. There was but the field also had cows in. With that a guy pulled up in a car and questioned us. We answered his requests, only to be informed that it wasn't who's field we said it was. He then told us to f**k off before he calls the police. We had no dogs, no guns and hadn't even left the truck, just shinning from the window. We left thinkin
