  1. Like everywhere, there is good , there is bad, there is stupid in every country. I know many American, they are very respectful, & good person, is not good to think all like this in vidio. Agreed Clint, but americans tend to be a little "gun ho" as a way of life & it is a country where you have the right to bare arms, i dont think this lot would be safe to bare butts
  2. Typical over confident under educated american KNOBHEADS.

  4. A .223 cal ( or equiv ) is concidered ok to use to maim or kill another human, but not deemed humane to use on deer in England and Wales Where are we going LD

  12. If its fox only you are after, then any rifle from .22Hornet to 243 will do the job depends what range you normally shoot them at. LD
  13. Hi mate, i would use legal 12 ft/lbs rifle for birds and squirrel will do the job ok just take care with backstop, Not sure of a rifle on Geese and Duck ( dont think its the done thing ) so if you are going to the trouble of applying for a FAC, why not go for .22 r/fire or .17hmr for rabbit. LD
  14. Hi John, Not sure if you got many in your area, but Badgers can cause this damage ( and worse ) to lambs, have seen it many times around area where i shoot, they normally grab the lamb around the chest area, then rip them open they eat what they want but leave the carcass. (not a lot of people know that) Unfotunately not a lot we can do as shooters , they are protected! LD
  15. Unfortunately LG , jajay is correct you need to get the landowner to give permission especially for first application, this will be the only permission you can shoot over on a "closed" ticket unless you come across other land that is already passed for yourcalibre This a land usage form that can be used , check with your feo LD

  17. Finally made up my mind to add 223 cal to my ticket next renewal (June ) been looking at the options available and came across the EDGE series on the Savage web site. Seems to be a new budget varmint rifle from them & sells for $379 in the states ( probably £500 time it gets to us ) anyway- anyone used or seen one, be interesting to hear your opinions Cheers, LD PS Anyone selling a .223 at the moment please PM.

  19. Hi mate , recently reloaded some 35 gn berger hollowpoint for my .22K Hornet, used 13 gn lil-gun , winchester s/r primers, full sized my cases and set OAL to 1.8" doing approx 3000 ft/sec tried them out last weekend ,they are devestating on rabbits, furthest shot was 165 yds clean kill & suprisingly not too much damage, yet to try them on fox Hope to try them to maximum load 13.5 gn Lil-gun just for curiosity and see what they do.. berger are a very accurate bullet and the 30gn should hold 3000ft/sec in the standard hornet, i think my mate sets his to about 1.76" wont fit in mag if muc
  20. Hi mate, How much for the moderator ( when ready ) LD
  21. Hi Toni, thank you for the info, seems this rifle is certainly worth a look .i am on a tight budget and this rifle may be exactly what i am looking for.. Thanks again LD
  22. They may be seen as a bit of overkill on rabbits( and pricey if you dont reload ). but i very recently loaded some 35 Gn Berger hollow points, shot a few rabbits between 50 to 100yds--- not too much damage Very good on fox out to 200Yds. LD
