  5. Hi bouncer, not sure where you are, but i deal with a guy from Hengoed, he was selling Privi ammo for £45 per hundred but that was in .223, i also think he was selling some remington at £12.50 for 20 You will have to gove him a ring to ask if he has .222. PM me if you want his number.. LD
  6. Fair play mate, you are a lot more tolerant than me!! after her first insult i would have explained that you are operating within the law, then till her to F**K off and mind her own business ok i know its not politicly correct but if you give it you must take it!! Any way Well Done!! LD

  8. is scope still for sale? LD
  9. Hi Fella, As said the heads used are same as that in .223 (.224 diameter) but you will only use the ones up to 45gn in weight If you reload them it will be cheaper than the .223 because you only use half the amount of powder. But if you have to buy full rounds then it can be more expensive than the .223, so reloading is best option. i reload mine for approx 30 pence per round ( not including cases ) i re-use fired cases. LD
  10. .22 hornet, great all round calibre. Fox out to 200yds max with 40 gn blitz king, use a 32 gn head for rabbit--job done only down side you will probably have to reload.. LD
  11. Agree with morgan the moon, nothing fancy, solidly built rifle at a good price, if you want a hunting rifle they will do the job very well Do your bit and not many fox will get away LD
  12. Good bag there fella! what rifles did you use ? LD
  13. Thinking of giving my hornet a bit of a makeover, starting with the stock. What,s the best way to remove the old finish, in this case it looks like some type of thin varnish covering, would a normal paint stripper chemical do the job? any of you guys stripped the stocks & what results did you get? Cheers LD

  15. Hi Mate, sorry to jump on this thread, but my local supplier has just got some vit 133 powder in and i was thinking of trying some, just wondered how it performs in .223 cal? whats it like to reload with ( i have a lee powder measure ) does it metre ok ? I usually use Sierra 55gn game king heads, what load would you recommend ? I thimk it comes in a Kilo tub @ about £74 is that about the money.. Sorry for all the questions. Thanks LD
  16. Hi fella how much for the scope,? What reticule does it have Cheers LD
  17. Recently got a Roedale ultralite mod from sportsman in newport, completely strippable and very very light. Mod is screwed on the end of barrel and increases length by about 6"but as said its so light its almost unoticable when carrying the rifle. Baffles can be purchased seperately if required. Great piece of kit imo. google--- Roedale moderators & take a look LD
  18. Thinking about renewing the barrel of my old .22 ruger 77hornet, not looking for anything special just a standard barrel same as one fitted. Any one know where i can get one and cost if possible Thanks LD

Was talking to a dealer today and he was looking £1256 for the rifle alone just out of the box. HI Mate, how much for the hawke scope ?? Cheers
  20. . HI Mate, is scope still for sale Cheers
  21. Used them in my .223, - 55 grain soft point, good on accuracy, seem to be loaded to max judging by the recoil fox do not like them ps The brass is also reloadable---all round gains LD
  22. Thanks all for your replys, i have tried with the re-primer attached, some primers go down the tube but some don,t i will try your idea Snap, but unfortunately till now iv,e had to get the Vacuum out :censored: or ask the misses to Cheers LD
  23. Hi Mate. Not 100% sure but i dont think the three hole primer type are reloadable LD
  24. Hi all, Hope you had a good christmas Getting a new mod for my .223, been looking on the web and came across the "Roedale delta range", i believe that Sportsman guns have recently become distributer for this mod, They are made in Germany but have only recently become available in uk. Any of you guys used one or any info on them. Much Appreciated LD
  25. Do you use a mod on the rifle, could be very slightly out of line with bore ( especially after a few rounds have warmed up the barrel )i know this is unlikely with a 22rim but worth a try without mod fitted. Let another shooter have a go with your set up, if the same thing happens you know its not you LD
