  3. What's a 'stud missile' Tuco? Hey Blondie! Stud misile is like a Scud Missile, but faster and more accurate.................. Your good you are!!
  4. Just look at the distance the elderly lady spotted them, and then zoomed in on them like a stud missile! A brave person, and like Lab said, this could of gone terribly wrong.
  5. I'm not sure of the correct term, however it's that metal edging that plasterers use. Very easy to cut with a a small hacksaw. 10metre lengths at £1.20 B&Q. That will stop them biting the edges at least.

Oil rag Joooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! That dog looks ill man. £1000..............
  7. This is why I love the working lurcher world! There are so many tales and know it alls! Don't change the habit of a life time. My dogs get a Good Boy or occasionally You flipping Idiot, or very rarely a cuddle........ A small treat at lets say 1pm, usually a small quantity of spam or something similar, IF they are going to run the beam that night, and nothing during their working period. Has worked for ME for a very long time with no complications what so ever.

  10. Some hunting storys are best kept hidden in the diary! lol

  11. Stick with what you know TC. If that cross has/is working for you then stick with it. I run 2 lots of 2nd Gen dogs, One saluki x Grey, and yes like you say will work and work all day and night. The other Deerhound/grey x Saluki/grey, again fast, powerful, brains, stamina. Both dogs with excellent feet. I've not changed from any of the two breeds for over a decade. They suit my needs and the terrain here.
  12. A surprising night with two very sleepy dogs.

  13. I use to keep a few trios of these small wonderful, active bantams, the days before the poultry world became all girly whirly........ In the early 90's I can remember seeing these birds hitting well below 300g. Due to their size, they are very manageable, and great garden pets, however they do tend to catch the chill very quickly. I have friends who keep these and have good fertility levels. It's nice to see more numbers in shows.

  15. Defenders are not built for comfort. If your a princess and the pea person, then buy a volvo estate or something similar.......
  16. That's a good question me ol plummer lover! Guess what, I don't have the answer, I dont't think there is a Correct answer, but I'll guess. I honestly believe it's in all dogs naturally instinct to strike, and strike well. Yes some better than others. You only have to see in local parks how many various breeds will strike at a tumbling/bouncing tennis ball with perfect timing to see they all have it in them. For me it's not the strike, (and yes it's obviously important to strike well if your using your dog to hunt), it's more of "Can this dog use it's gears well, and will it use it
  17. That lurcher has bull in the mix....look it's nowhere near the stag.

  23. CO CHISE, I'm the same as you with being a keeper of poultry for a some time. I have also had the annoying egg eaters from time to time. I have found no cure to stop the culprit's apart from fitting roll away nest boxes, or ringing the birds neck. You can't be there all day waiting for them to lay to take the eggs away. Once a pecker always a pecker.
