  1. I am in a little syndicate and most of the lads in it including me do a lot more shooting than just the pheasants and partridges. I also shoot fox, pigeon, crows etc on the same ground as the pheasants. I am in two wildfowling clubs plus I have a pile of other ground to shoot over.
  2. You don't need the extra quality on a hmr so you should be ok. Oh and what i believe is what the chattilon gauge reads and on my set triggers that is 8oz. Mate the triggers on tikkas aren't good unless it is the factory set trigger, but they are good in comparison to most other offerings.
  3. It doesn't matter what you do with a factory trigger, it will never be as good as a quality aftermarket trigger. I suppose it all depends on what you are willing to accept, personally i want the best trigger i can get for my rifle.
  4. Usually in a packet at the gunshop marked jewel or timney!?
  5. Opening the box of a kfc or McDonald’s. ?
  6. No, no, no I can’t believe anyone would eat shit like that.?
  7. Yes I generally take it on my camera rounds. I take it quite a bit to be fair, just not foxing.
  8. I went to check the stink pipe camera today and there is another fox on it. This one is trying its best to pull pieces out of the holes. I will have to get onto it shortly. Coming off I managed to pick off a magpie that had been eating his pheasant eggs.
  9. Grandson’s efforts with the 204 two years ago when he was 10.
  10. "Too" many northerners, you illiterate southern twat!?
  11. I have one of those and my rich mate has two. We set them out usually at one hundred yard intervals so that we can set rifles up tp point and shoot out to 300+ yards. They are expensive, but quality usually is and these are quality. I use road marking paint on mine because it dries really quick. The body is a sort of yellow and the kill zone is white. They save you loads of backwards and forwardsing because you can clearly see and hear the bullet strike. Sometimes i will take the grandson and let him loose shooting at it with something, he particularly likes to shoot the Ruger Precision HMR at
  12. I have only just started to use these pipes so just how affective they are i don't know. What i can say is within a day of installing it i had a fox on camera. It visited three times but was wary of it. It had obviously been attracted by the smell and that is all i need. It lets me know a fox is about , which area and a rough time. I have dug mine in 18" into the ground and depending whether you want crows picking at the bait through the holes or not will determine how high you start the 50mm holes. I thought the crows pulling little bits through may add to the attraction for a fox but o
  13. What a cracking hide that is, well done. I could sit in that all day.
  14. Back to the farmers that breeds our ducks and pheasants tonight. I had seen one on the trail cam overlooking the stink pipe. It was a barren vixen, I got a bonus dog fox just down the road from me on my way home.
  15. I meant to ask this yesterday but forgot. If you where approached by a landowner asking you to help cull deer on his land and you subsequently learned he was from a traveler background, would you refuse immediately on the grounds of his ethnicity or would you go and do it?
  16. There is blatantly a lot of profiteering going on. I bought these last week from my local RFD for 60 pounds a thousand.
  17. A mate of mine who is a farrier asked me last year if I would help a friend of his out that was losing poultry to a fox. I said I would and went along with a mate. When I got there it became clear the chap was a traveler. Horses, dogs, poultry etc in abundance. The area he had was extensive but he knew which way the fox would come from and it’s route. I have to say he was/is a really nice bloke. He left us to it and was very grateful for our efforts in killing a dog and vixen. Turns out he is a cousin of Tyson Fury.
  18. Ask the “ripper “ victims families what they think of lorry drivers.
  19. My mate just had a variation done with Lancashire firearms for a 243 in a week.
