  1. Your taking your time then haha Tosser!!! :tongue2:
  2. Above everything else...what needs to be remembered, is that it is not the camera that takes the photo, but the man behind it. A good photographer will take good shots with crap gear. It makes me laugh when some people think that all you need to get a good photo is a good camera....well, to consistantly get good shots you've got to be good and you've got to try, try and try again, because only effort is going to get you good photos. There are no short cuts.
  3. Wait til Matty gets his 300mm...he will throw the rest (including the mirror) straight on eBay and pretend it never happened.... :D
  4. Well put some on for us to see then lover boy,all talk and no action is a bit like being a politician haha Ha ha .......I dare not let you see the pics of our last day out. You'd get too excited! I've not got them here anyway..... don't keep any photos at my house... Here's one I took earlier........I think it's a rabbit or something, looked very flat, so it might have been run-over. Not sure.
  5. The first photo of a duck is a Mandarin duck the head shot of a duck is the Carolina wood duck. TC Yes I do know that.......I'm well aware of the difference. :whistling:

  8. The threads about the best dog you've owned Mr Picky but to be honest your not doing some of your mutts justice by saying you ain't ever had a good un Andy .. Being honest mate I have had some fair dogs, all of them had flaws but I caught a lot of gear with them, each had strengths the others never possessed so I never quite managed the ultimate animal lol..I'm happy with what I currently kennel, they do me..I love my old cur x he will die trying on whatever it is,he's been a real gladiator, big numbers lamping, brilliant hunter in the day, ferrets great, hooved or toothed,up to our very largest

  14. No buddy, they weren't milers, they were long distance fliers. that garden was a no-go zone on a saturday!! Sadly my grandad died when I was 12, but he was stone-radged on the dogs and stock and hunting. I wish he'd have lived long enough to have seen what his eldest grandchild had gotten up to..... that's ciggys for ya.....
  15. My grandad was crazy on the pigeons. He was the first one to have a loft when he was moved into the 'new' estate just after his return from the war. From there onwards he helped the younger generation set up their lofts until the estate had many dozens of pigeon men, each trying to beat each other. pigeons were his life, he never went on holiday, just spent his life getting his birds to be the best he could, and he did have alot of winners. On a saturday we'd have to loiter in the kitchen while he scanned the skies, with aged eyes he still spotted that single tiny dot coming in over the counc
  16. One thing I've learnt mate; is don't burn your bridges..... it will all come out in the wash....go and see the farmer face to face and get it all out in the open.....it might even be of some benefit to you....
  17. You're not getting any prettier Trev......
  18. A rabbit is classed as game when it is taken illegally. If taken legally it is not classed as game.
  19. IMO antler size is purely down to genetics and nutritional food. Management has little or nothing to do with it. Going back to the original poster, I would expect the true good heads to have four points in their first years antlers. But that's just one guys opinion....
