  1. Drink of what tho... hey keep your dirty mind at bay it has a bar no doubt you have been Soz hun , am a touch on the tipsy side, and thaught it had to be said ...lol Ive sampled most of the asian cuisine in our area, me dads a big time conoseur you see! Have a good new year THL'ers !!! Hope you dont end up eating spunk tonight bill !!
  2. I just hope it goes the distance- before someone gets killed
  3. It wouldnt be JBS Wildlife by any chance would it? Im soo hoping it is him!!! If so.......... pleeease tell me you were recording him when he was waist deep 27 TIMES trying to trap moles!! 'coz that footage would be f*****g priceless mate!
  4. You or whoever your on about is breaking the law!! Well done I dont like poison either, but thats another story, however any decent pest controller should do what they can to ensure a clean kill, that is the aim. If your using a rodenator to kill vermin, your deliberatly going out to condemn many animals to a nasty end..... Hi Mr Oldroyd Im not perticularly worried about them being much of a threat to business, as any sensible farmer/landowner knows that the tried and tested methods of proper pest controllers are by far the best techniques and bring the best results, safely and huma
  5. I must add, that you have a point there, the fox/whatever isnt always killed and needs finishing off!! So what?
  6. any body can write what they want ,eagles have been know to be lucky on ocasions but like i said it dont happen very often ,dont keep making me go back on whats been said already ,they cant do it on a regular basis. Dont know about eagle owls, ive heard the females can but I wouldnt reckon they would be in the same league as an eagle. But certainly golden eagle if trained to, will do it regularly, why dont you go and see for yourself? Instead of talking a load of crap about them, just go check it out, that will be what it will take for you to see what they can do...... some people need to se
  7. Im pissed off, I dont like the f*****g things at all, they are not a pest control tool in my eyes, and I cant belive DEFRA have allowed there use for destroying tunnels, they must be f*****g idiots if they thaught it wouldnt abused, and used to kill pests in their tunnels. Firstly, its totally inhumane burning something to death! Secondly, mole tunnels wouldnt f*****g be there if there wasnt moles using them! Thirdly, theres a load of f*****g chancer amataur pesties going about doing mole jobs with them! Im cleaning up behind them, but im so pissed of with the whole thing! Any thaughts
  8. A GOOD DAY HAD, BY LOOKS OF IT !!!! Hope the young ones serve you well for years to come, should have given them a confidence boost today!
  9. Ive done a few road kill protected species, I always ring the police first and tell them where it is, then you need to write down exactly where you found it. The taxidermist will also need the location of where it was found. Thats what ive been doing and all parties were more than happy with it (police, taxidermist,me)! Hope this helps Just to add, ive found more road kill otters this year than any other, 5 in total...............but this area is very well populated.
  10. You are very talented, I like the terrier drawing best. Could you do portraits of dogs etc..?
  11. I was glad today, I seen three reds at a place near Corbridge, more than ive seen all month including up the Valley, but they are fed and quite tame, I do the vermin there, was trapping moles today, they are a pleasure to see. They are surrounded by tree rats, but isolated on a hill top in their own wood. I will try and keep them safe for as long as I can, but once the pox gets there, well it will be good bye forever i suppose!
  12. You must have a lot of work lined up, to be bringing on two big dogs? Are you a terrierman?
  13. Dont you have reds in your area anymore woodga, I would love to use them up here, look a great set-up for the body grips, but there are about equal ammounts of reds and greys up the valley, so I couldnt use them, not yet anyway. Do you make them your self? I might try and knock up a one for the big bodygrip for mink. Up to now I have used wooden tunnels with slots cut out to slide the trap in. But those mesh ones do look the business. holds the trap nice and snug! good stuff!
  14. We had most around in early december, but those places that were holding lots, are now holding one or two. Seeing a few on the moors though about the same as usual.
  15. Nice photos there, well done! I have an amount of fondness for cormerants, but hell, they can hammer some fish - and eggs in winter. I once looked after some of the best salmon redds on the north tyne, and applied for a licence to shoot them on the redds, hopefully saved a lot of future salmon.
  16. The ferral goats in Britain have been on some of our hills for over 1000 years, whereas the NZ and OZ ones have not been naturalized for that long, so im guessing the ones over here may have reverted to a wild state and may be why they are that bit more of a challenge?????
  17. Are you lads for real??? - (anonymous and wild rover) or just being silly billies!!!!! ..... get it! Anyways, the ones around mine look most similar to the goat in your first pic hairy bull! And similar sizes aswell, see the odd light one, but mainly dark with lighter patches. Any more pics hairybull?
  18. then explain this [how do they get the BOP started ]im on about the law coming along and asking for proof .and they are just starting to train it . I think he is probably meaning your not going to get away with taking along a merlin or a spuggy hawk or something along those lines!!!
  19. Ive eaten a few, there like woodcock, snipe. Very Tasty birds. 20mins in a hot oven is all they need. If I get a single woodcock/snipe/plover it goes on the side of my roast dinner along with whatever other meat were eating! If ive got a few I make something a little more special with them!!
  20. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=nRYtQmYED10 This is just to show some birds in action, although they will likely be 'canned hunts' with released wolf/foxes. Not many hunts will have a Bird of prey present, but it is one way around the laws.
  21. FFS ................... GOLDEN PLOVER !!!!!!
