The nose is bred in them the dam was great one used a lot on the moors hunting close or ranging I used to have some great hunts with her looking down off the moor and watching her range if she needed to and she'll drag herself through the densest of brambles like a terrier but she doesn't range on the flats or the lamp, maybe try an acme whistle with him but if your walking were there's game he'l use his nose for sure like I say it's in em, if there's out about his sister will just stick her nose up in the air and be gone if you let her, I'm working on her knowing what she can and can't do dep

I remember as a kid there was a knackers yard just a few hundred yards down the lane of were I lived it stunk to high hell in the summer but we kids had just got used to it over the years, they did sell top dog meat tho it came cooked and minced in 2b bags and all the local doggin lads used it I don't remember amounts of meat used per serving back then but it was usually mixed with brown bread and a bit of veg and all the dogs ran well and looked great of that mix, it closed down about 20 year ago n a few of them boys just use a cheap complete these days and the dogs they keep now just don't l

I know were your coming from mate Iv never tried one of them collars tho so I don't know, don't let it drag you down tho if it hasn't worked out it hasn't worked out, think your doin great in a lot of aspects tho but one thing I'd be trying now is taking him off that pedestal for abit, don't hit him as you'll loose his genuine love forever with that type but give him a good run in the mornings on the bike or whatever then stick him in the kennel for the rest of the day giving him chance to miss and apreciate you and be less dependent on you abit like a bird lol, spend abit of time in the eveni

As you know mush his sister has killed a good number of gear now for her age and doing well retrieved a few 4's now which wernt all the best but she's got a right gob on her aswell, a good few 3's n more 2's were the first had been a gudden and she's had a couple of wars now were she's come out on top and killed n a good few rabbits both day n night and always been spot on with sheep etc but they are abit full on or keen whichever way we could put it that thing of mine is up on her back legs sometimes if say I walk passed a gate n then tries to drag me to it I'm quite strong but Iv gota dig my

There building 500 new house at a near town all on flood plane land I used to hunt as a lad I've known it flood twice in 30 years ...... I doubt it not whilst there's money to be made .Building 600 houses 1/2 a mile from me was a nice piece of land aswell n 150 at the other side of the village there guna be banging them up all over the over the country over the next few year apperantly..

Looks top Scran peter I also enjoy watching the dogs enjoy a good wholesome dinner; ) Must say tho I see a few dogs lately that just get biscuits and couldn't fault em so who knows eh there all different that's for sure..

I aren't one of these internet heroes who's life revolves around hunting photos and big numbers mate. I just enjoy keeping dogs and letting them do what nature intended now and again. No pressure, no stress. Just a bit of a hobby and a bit of enjoyment. Can't see that changing with any amount of time. ; )
