  1. We've shot rabbits out to over 200 with the 35gr vmax, with no rangefinder.. I wouldnt have the confidence to do it with the 40gr, due to the extra drop off . My best was a body shot at 280. 35gr still has enough to drop Charlie at 200 as well. I just cant see past them.. Never needed load development either.. first load we made, cloverleafed out the box... Matty
  2. Teach Ben to use a Shotgun.... (he's 12 now, but quite small) Make a venison salami, and a venison Ham. One of last years was to make a venison haggis, which I had as starter last night for my guests, it was fantastic!! so i have high hopes for this years!!
  3. Ey up Brim.... Aye it was a bit cold... but the wee man was warm, so alls good......!! Warmed up now, it was 8 degrees yesterday!!
  4. we tried them Ian... They just dropped off a lot more that the 35gr Although they were accurate enough and grouped well.. We just stayed with the versatility of the 35gr because you can be a good bit out on range estimation and they still come good....
  5. twas the the night before New year, and all through the house, Nothing was stirring.........not even a mouse... I took through a coffee.... (I didnt want strife) But there was still no noise... Especially from the wife..... Get up I shouted.........!! Its fecking nine o'clock... To be honest it came as quite a shock.. I thought they'd be keen.. To help cook the meal.. Especially as I had potatoes to peel. Still no noise..from the bedroom quarters. I think they all must have runny snorters....

  9. Last ferreting session of the year for me, as I'm busy tomorrow. Just me Ben and The 'Tibbster' today. Bess still in the sick bay with stitches from Boxing days accident. We were only going out for a couple of hours, as Ben and me were due lamping last night, but Mr Adventure was called to task by Mrs Adventure, and Gerron didnt have transport. So I had to give Ben an alternative outing as compensation. We netted up the first warren, which was at least 30 holes, Ben has learnt his trade well, with the Dog tied up for stealth Mode, and Ben haing learnt our sign language, I had no he

  11. Got these boots a while back, but they are too small for me to wear with winter socks. They are barely broken in, and have just been washed and treated with Meindl wax. I would not recommend these to a size 9 if you wear thick socks. But they are thinsulate line boots, so aren't cold to be honest. Would suit a small nine or size eight I am looking for £90 posted, you will not be disappointed in quality. Same manufacturer supplied by Blackislander... Superb boots... http://www.blackisla...ander-boots.asp Thanks
  12. Sorry you've had a bad experience with yours...Me and three mates would wear anything else, and we abuse ours to the max.. No issues at all in years. I hear the same contradiction with Meindls.... Some love 'em, some hate them. From our experience, Ill stand by what Ive said.. And they've got a five year warranty, so provided you bought them from a dealer, you'll get a new pair...
  13. Harkila Prohunter...... For any weather conditions.

  18. BAD PARROT A young man named John received a parrot as a gift. The parrot had a bad attitude and an even worse vocabulary. Every word out of the bird's mouth was rude, obnoxious and laced with profanity. John tried and tried to change the bird's attitude by consistently saying only polite words, playing soft music and anything else he could think of to 'clean up' the bird's vocabulary. Finally, John was fed up and he yelled at the parrot. The parrot yelled back. John shook the parrot and the parrot got angrier and even more rude. John, in desperation, threw up his han
