I suppose this is quite an old fashioned looking lurcher by todays standards.

It's a good idea and one day may actually happen . Batteries that self- charge by sliding within a magnetised case are nothing new .They -like any- battery do not last forever though . Even if the technology to produce a module small enough to be combined with a tracking device and yet remain unobtrusive exists and even if it could be garaunteed to work for the required fifteen years or so of a dog's life I doubt whether it would be available for a paltry £100. The idea of sculpting the shape of the module to the dog's body creates another problem . Implants have a habit of movi

Antony Blair-let's drop the pally man of the people "Tony" bollocks- is a power and glory-hunting ,murdering ,lying ,hypocritical,shape-shifting wretch . Sadly he really does seem to have some strange power that enables him to erase the memories of various promises and statements that no longer convieniently fit with his present self-promoted image as far-sighted saviour of the World . From not believing in God to a modern -day candidate for sainthood . Forget the crap about being persuaded to enter a Middle-Eastern war by the Americans . Antony Blair ,I suspect, was only too wi

Probably Norfork spades at a guess. That sounds right . Long-handled spades ,sometimes with a little hook on the end designed to either retrieve rabbit corpses or catch onto the line of a collared ferret.
-
Sometimes loop the loose drawcord round the peg to take up the slack.

A stick . If it's a bit public it'll be a naturalistic twig placed in a hedge parallel to the trap .Sometimes a ball of mud in a "secret" place. Very cheap.

I'd not even heard of them until late last Thursday night . Definatly use them again .Excellent service, and very fair prices I thought .

Arrived home to find the spool of pink twine I'd ordered from Agouti Nets had arrived . Not only that ,but the pack included a neat little freebie in the form of an aluminiun gauge-needle.Not only was the delivery time extremely swift but Agouti are obviously a company that places a premium upon first immpressions and customer satisfaction . Recommended ! And here is my first pink net . Soon I'll be watching Will and Grace and singing show tunes . " Oh the Deadwood stage is coming over the hills". "Indian arrows ..thicker than porcupine quills" ... where's my freddy Mercury cap

No,there are no ferreters in West Sussex. Sadly ferreting in West Sussex is banned by an ancient Norman charter that makes it illegal to indulge in any form of hunting ,dancing ,singing or any form of enjoyable behaviour . We are not even allowed to make silly jokes or make stupid light-hearted post on the internet . Very far-sighted those Normans .

Matt made mention of bait removal .You could also leave a message mentioning that you are concerned (for her sake ) with the possible problems ,smells and of course the influx of flies that can be associated with unretrieved corpses -especially as the weather warms -up. Its too easy to dwell on the tiny minority who let us down-and in most cases as "heart of wales" said the sixth sense(or sight of a coffee table covered in foil and customised Rizla packets) kicks- in and tries to warn us . Most of my customers are great and it would be a dis-service to infer otherwise .

no mate there is no need to clip there wings as they are ground birds just make sure you give them a perch to roost on in there hutch. The point of lay bit is very misleading as iv had birds from 18 weeks at POL and its taken the 12 weeks more to start laying but once your type of bird starts laying they will keep going and you will soon be selling the extra eggs to pay for some feed. hope this helps t thanks are loham browns just ground birds are they bread for that purpose i have heard some chickens flying over fences so im reassured by your answer thanks As has been said you

If you know your dog is aggressive and take it in public without precautions you certainly weaken your case if something should happen and you are taken to court .Even if the police don't want to be involved an aggrieved person can still make a private claim for damages .That's when some clever-dick lawyer will ask,"So you know your dog is a bit aggressive but you still take him to places where there are bound to be dogs running loose ?" That's a worse-case scenario and to be honest I know how frustrating it is to have uncontrolled dogs run up to a dog I have on a lead .The result is eit

1963 1600 Humber Sceptre, cost me £60 in 1979. And er yes they are hand-painted flames And no they did'nt make it go any faster .

I was like you. Felt it only fair to the customer that they be aware of a positive result before being asked to part with money . It seemed like ethical business to me but sadly some people seemed to take my meekness for weakness. It's amazing how many people will pass you going in the other direction as you turn up their lane. Oh yes ,they'll give you a thumbs-up or a cheery wave but will they stop and give you the measly£25 they've owed you for the past six months ? For rodent jobs I now always ask for at least some of the money on the initial visit . It can always be justifie

Poor old Buggsbunny has had a bit of stick for expressing an opinion but at least it contained a gem or two of considered arguement Why use a red filter if rabbits are colour-blind ? .. Der ,if rabbits are colour-blind they probably can't see red .That's why . That's the theory anyway . As to the standing outside the hole in a hi viz suit .When ferreting it is bad policy to stand outside the hole wearing anything (er I don't mean naked .I mean it's best to stand down wind and out of sight of the holes ). Even if you are standing still you will be representing a big blot on the land

how do you pay for the poly it doesn;t say.do they accept paypal. He accepts Pay Pal... I've just ordered some, and not a bad price , so thanks again NRigger! Buggsbunny . Think about it .A rabbit emerging from a burrow is probably only going to see a net of any colour as a silouhette against the light. Then there is the fact that rabbits are probably colour-blind or certainly don't see colour as we do and are defintly are more attuned to detect movement than colour. The number of times that rabbits back-net into nets of all colours is the real indicater that the rabbits

Quite what compelled "wiltshire trapper" to trawl back two months to resurect a post that at the time was topical but is now no longer newsworthy I would'nt even bother trying to guess. Maybe he and some of the people who've added to the post feel better for publically venting their hatred of cats . Well feel free though for my money hatred for any animal is not an emotion worthy of a true hunter. Maybe he and some of the people who've added to the post feel that trappers should not bother being selective in their targets or minimising risks to non targets . Again, feel fr

Phil. How the devil are you ?. If I wrote books no bugger would publish em and if they did I'd be on so many hit lists ! Pup is 8 months old now. Still very puppyish physically -all loose and gangly so she'll not really do much till next winter. Yes she is collie cross, cross collie cross, cross collie cross etc etc .Supposedly any way . As another Phil said "Don't believe a word"..... What's your pup ?

Ferret Tamer .Hello .Hope you don't mind me asking . Where did you find that pink twine ?

I've just enjoyed reading Stealthy's neat write- up covering his victory over the 8 Hole Gang and it's reminded me that I meant to pop this little tale up . Some time before Christmas I repaired a section of rabbit fence around a strip of woodland for a customer .I knew that there was a rabbit or two trapped inside the enclosure but suspected that they were lying up under huge randomly stacked log-pile . When the call came saying that the logs had been moved and some small burrows exposed I decided that it was an ideal oppertunity to introduce my puppy to her first tast of f

Bridport nets sell that hi-viz twine and it is very pleasant to work with . The nets do lose their impact once they've had a few outings and been covered in mud though . If any one knows where I can buy pink spun nylon please let me know ! Or even if someone has a part spool they'll sell me .
