    I was out lamping 2 nights ago. And am sure I seen a wild polecat. Has anyone else seen many in the west midlands. I've never seen a wild 1 before.

    Theres a few lamp shy places were I go fuji.And can scan the field quicker to pick up the eyes.with a red filter I find. With just the white light I seem to be looking at the ground and my eye seems to be distracted I'm looking more for the eyes. But the red filter the eyes just appear easier for me. Each to there own I think. I'm sure my eyes need looking at I'm doing the squinting thing reading the last few yrs lol. I hope I don't end up with glasses hanging on the end of my nose lol.

    I don't think that would work mate its a tight fit to put the filter on. I will pm him and ask it's pissing me off fiddly bloody thing going. I've snapped a lug off and bent 2 lugs out a bit. If the hinge is slack the filter will keep dropping down I think. Ideally the hinge would be on the top. There's only a small lip on the lamp to attach some kind of hinge.

Everything but matey or atleast I hope that to be the case,the enjoyment I once got from the dog game has gone for me,it's became a bit of a chore & a good friend of mine once told me many years ago that when it gets to the point of doing the dogs & it becoming a chore it's time to move on for this is no rehearsal in life this really is it.I've lots of things to look forward to & for the 1st time ever plans

    Has anyone adapted a 210 red filter to a flip up filter. Like the 1 on a cluson. It's fiddly trying to put it on and remove it. Then it's a pain when it's off the lamp. I'm thinking of screwing it on with a little hinge. But the hinge wouldn't be stiff enough to hold it up. Any ideas.

    I went in the kitchen tonight and told the wife there's no chips left. And she also amazed me and said go and read thl and I will make some. 15 mins later I was putting salt and vinegar on a plate of chips.
