  1. Tinytiger glen don't use his dogs in any way risky and has always bred from young plummers, look at how many generations to years he's been breeding.he'll breed a bitch for 3 litters then there gone mate, replaced by the improved plummer terrier he is producing and he's off again.Same risk with any type of working dog goes with testing them before using them for stud but if you don't about it this way then working dogs ain't for you imo.Glen will do what he does and he won't care,he does produce some nice dogs but he is also one of the 99% £300 a pup lot.
  2. But then probebly the biggest problem with the clubs is the folks in charge,to much water under the bridges as it were.A few folks shun away from the clubs due to the ego's and bull that comes with them and to mock these lads who all have "mongrel plummers" and lable them saviours of the breed is well "just like you to do so glen" a shame really but shows just how at least one of the said ego's works and shows why folks don't bother .As for you mocking the puppy money bit glen???????,pot,kettle.black!!!!!.
  3. Well Glen, amadore or eptr or who ever you are this week lol, it seems you still try to fool all the people all the time with your sh*t on how great you are at puppy peddling out of unproven young dogs and again it seems folks still don't go along with it lol,but then with your head so far up your own arse i'm surprised you hear whats being said anyway.Had myself a plummer(bred from working, proven parents)to ground for 4 1/2 hours last week and she delt with the vixen and cubs herself before i got to her so there are a few out there doing a bit of earthwork and slowly proving themselves, not eno
  4. Passion in what he belives in,shame more mp's don't give it 100% like he did.
  5. There's one black eyed pea i'd plant my seed in!,fergie mmmm.
  6. To true Chalkwarren, they ain't called cattle dogs for nothing .
  7. Well done on the new ground mate and the dogs look like they'll have fun there.
  8. Well done bud, good trip out by the looks and that young dog of your's is a nice looking thing .
  9. We've been sorting a few litters and vixens out these last few weeks for a few keepers and at times different bitches(my plummer bitch included) have brought out cubs to the surface although dead,i have wondered if there was a maternal instinct kicking in there some how.Young animals are still learning whats a danger or whats quarry and your young dog hadn't learnt young charlie was foe and vice vercer, good story that mate but the clocks ticking on the smart remarks bit! .
  10. Fox dropper i was taking the p*ss with the "progression stage" bit and as for selling plummer pups i never have made a penny out of the only litter i've bred and never will IF i ever breed her again and to answer another question yes there are a few plummers out there regularly working to ground and my bitch was bred from such dogs and she herself works to ground. Not saying or ever would any one type of terrier is better than another, duffers in all types all i'm saying is plummers take some beating at bushing/mooching as they in general very good noses,i'll also add my plummers are for ratting
  11. What i said mate is out of the ones i've seen bushing/mooching or ratting then the plummers have scented the quarry better than the russells and the plummers have seemed to pack together better. If thats a load of crap then please let us swop eyes as mine seem to lie to me .
  12. In comparison the plummers i've seen have had better noses than the russells i've seen and do tend to pack better when out bushing/mooching.I own both sorts plummers and russells and thats how i've found it with my dogs as well, those plummers do on the whole have a sharp old nose on them .
  13. Hepher a 30 odd year old "breed" is still imo in the progrssion stage and i was also fishing a little for a bite ,your right about ££££££ though as not many who breed a litter will sell them for a realistic price,a few do but not very many i've ever heard of.As a bushing, ratting, mooching dog i do think a good plummer is hard to beat but new owners can get sucked into the political plummerfile b*ll*cks that surrounds the dogs.
  14. Your'll be lucky to find a bitch pup for sale as most breeders will be booked up for a while, you could put your name down for one with the ever growing number of plummer breeders but your'll be fecking lucky to get a pick of a litter. As for price there to much money these days and folks ask from £250-450 for any sort of plummer pup, bitch or dog.Why not put a plummer dog over one of your jrt's and bring the pup up alongside the others doing what you want it to do?,also as for size i've seen all shapes and sizes from all the main kennels so as plummer owners say "still in the progresion stage
  15. Sounds as if some lads are a little scared of scuffing the old fox and i think the safe handling of a fox is something anyone working a earth dog should be capable of.What do they do when a fox is netted and needs pinning down for a safe shot or if fox and dog need seperating or lifting out together?,first dig i was ever on this is what happened and i learnt there and then how important it is to be a team with your dogs as sometimes they need a little help and if your lacking in balls to "get in there with em" then the digging game ain't for you.

    NEW SHED

Have to say bud that seems a lot of money to me for that shed!.
  17. I'll book a place on that boat bud ,unbelivable coast fishing off the west coast of Wales and the range of fish avalable to the shore or small boat angler is huge.Compared to the north fecking sea it's another world over there .
  18. If you can sneek down on Fishguard harbour outer wall you'll get some grand fishing under your feet, take a boat rid and fish for conger between the gaps in the rocks. When you get a bite hit it hard and wind like feck ,all sorts of fish off there mind not just conger and worth the walk down the railway line .
  19. My perfect above ground dog would be a acd with enough speed to catch things and i'm with everyone on she don't need watering down as you might loose the hybrid vigour,do know of a 1/2 x acd dog doing well so far Wild Rover if you were thinking of breeding her in the future .
  20. Then the Bass turn up johnny boy68 .
  21. Your dog mate just looks better and better everytime i see her,a real picture she is .
  22. Got a number for a proven stud in Ely cambs,£350 non papered mating,£700 papered mating .
  23. He is as good as the theives themselves,he bought a dog then was told the said dog belonged to a 16 year old lad and was stolen,he refused to give the dog back and even at one point told them it had died. When the father of the lad spoke to the warrener about the returning of said dog he called the old bill and said he was threatened, make of it what you will.Fecking dog thief in my eyes personaly.
  24. Sorry all you cat lovers out there, they can come shit in my garden anytime they like!.

  25. Understand stubby hence my last post,it seems the law on catching and either releasing or dispatching a cat and if said cat is thought to be ferel or not is a bit murky to say the least.I'm not trying to say i'm correct but i am not incorrect either in some cases, again sorry for my slightly flipant first post and i agree a good legal debate that may help us all be a bit clearer about the law concerning problem cats can't be bad,can it? .
