  1. Keep on with those aviaries lads,he'd be right up for the hobby getting bigger and stronger .
  2. I logged on to send you a message saying how nice it was to meet you and all that, can't find the words now Dave as like others i never met the man but had pm chats a few times over him helping me with the birds and can't believe this news.Just hope some day his family see this thread and see how much of a grand chap we all thought of him and may his family take strength from it,RIP Craigyboy and thanks for all your help.
  3. Anything from as low as £40 a bird for normals up to a grand a bird for the white ones, the mutations are lovely birds in there own right and i have mutation birds myself(greenies and redpolls)but imo nothing beats a normal coloured native of any sort. All cracking birds though Moss .
  4. Cracking mate and i bet they love it in there and do you think the black wire is better for seeing them than the silver colour?.
  5. I've emptied my cages now for the rest of the year,a repaint and all that is in order and the birds did ok for me this year after a bit of a stuttery start they got a few young un's to sticks and it looks like i got more cock mules than hens and all are coming on nicely in the song department.Looks like all my greenies have moulted ok and produced a few lutino, also produced a silver redpoll out the isabel hen who then up legs and died so got some to go and some to replace and maybe something new for next year .

Fair to say if i were either the editor or photographer that took the pics i would be bricking it some what, they did kill the most famous woman in the world in front of the worlds press and get away with it and it seems the royal cage has been rattled again, time for another car crash for someone maybe?.
  7. Good people just shine through Gnasher, any news Raymond on how he's doing?.
  8. Well done Dazz, and GS and do well for the season .
  9. Grand that is and well done to you all for sure, have you thought of a ear tag so the kids and yourself would recognise her from other hares?.Was thinking along the lines of what they use in Ireland on the park hares.
  10. Do well, fight strong craigyboy and your family and all the very best.
  11. Always on hand for good honest advice with the birds and do wish him and his family all the very best,do well Craigyboy and see you back soon,

    kids

Been taking a step son out for the last few years now,he was 10 the other day has had his own net bag, locator set etc for a few years and to be honest has never moaned once about being cold, bored or knackered and would rather him be out with me than most adults i know . Even got some birds of his own. Can't leave the kids out, there the future.
  14. I do use it myself but let it stand for at least 24 hours to help rid of it something i can't remember the name of (some growers of the finest smoke also do this,if they have to use tap water ) and thanks for the comments.
  15. If your dog is up for public stud then the public bit says it all but to be honest if it was up for public stud you'd(the stud dog owner) have already asked yourself this question and it wouldn't bother you.
  16. This lad got his habit when he went to jail he was released and commited the crime when he was released with a habit,he then got clean and is now clean and the judge didn't want to send him back to jail in case he got another habit, the lad has got himself on the road to being sorted drug wise and although i'd murder anyone with ease if they robbed me i think fair play to the judge for trying something different and giving the lad a chance to change his life.If it blows up in the judges face then so be it but i can sort of see where he's coming from.
  17. Have just asked on a bird forum if she's worth a show this year and while photobuckets on i'll put up some up dated pics of her on here. worth a punt on the bench then?.
  18. If price had to come into it i'd pay cash and the litter would be all mine to do with what i wanted, end of stud deal sort of thing but i myself would never give a pup over as payment to be honest but if it was all amongst mates or good dog folk then no stud fee should be charged and pups are given free.
  19. Here's a pic of when i was adding on extra to my aviary and the panel on the left is painted, the one on the right isn't and you can see how you can see through the painted wire much better and looking again at the pic there's a panel half painted(top half painted) lent up against the fence showing even better how it makes the wire invisible at times. .
  20. ,thats grand and it was only a matter of time for sure, may i say just one thing mate and that is paint your wire black and your'll see the birds so much better.I just use outside non drip gloss paint and put it on with a roller and although it does get boring doing it it is so worth the extra views your'll get of the birds, the birds will love the extra space and be a whole lot healthier for it as well. ,again well done indeed .

    Good Luck ...

In the para cricket do they still call them stumps?. .
  22. Not going to argue whats the oldest breed but many of those places where the dogs are from are also places where people learnt to write so maybe there the only places that had written records of dogs of old so we presume there the oldest breeds, just a thought i had and now off for a lie down ..
  23. Good to see a Captain leading by example , .
  24. And a handy bird bath if your pushed for room is a paint tray, nice slope so young birds can't fall in to much and get water logged and easy cleaning.
