i havnt had a bad season really...didnt get a dog untill close to the end....he was free from earth and hounds...he's no world beater but he has done well for me and is uninjered so im happy and i think he is too....

the best dog i ever had was an ex coarsing dog called zuis he was white with brown ears and he kicked ass was the best lamping/poaching dog i ever had..he ended up being blind in one eye and he was still brilliant...load of rubbish about quality and colour...they do glow in the dark though

.................................................................................. 186 foxes shot on the same field in 7 months....all had knackered teeth and looked rough.and called in easily..the rspca was called out about some cats on the farm when it was mentioned about the fox problem within a few weeks there wasnt a fox to shoot...make up your own minds what was happening....towny do gooders with no idea about animal welfare..rspca are brilliant and taking the easy cases to court................

somtimes i dont feel like going out but once your in the field seeing the dog working the lamp its all worth it....glad you court a few.......good on ya

bloody hell jrt..your aggressive..when ratting, terriers get into all sorts of places...iv seen em almost run up walls after rats,jump off stacks of bails...is what you were doing in your garden as hardcore as sending a dog to ground and getting battered by a fox??? probabley not mate..there are some soft hearted people on hear but they aint all soft...chill out kidda......

my mates put well over 5000 shots through his hmr iv done atleast 2000 through mine all we use is an old tooth brush and a bore snake they both still shooting perfectly....... when you buy a match barrell.....vanhuxon or somthing that sounds like that they say not to use a rod on them but only a bore snake........

fek me mate if you stop now i will have to come over there is hundreds of bunnys there and there will be even more come the start of the season keep on rabbitin stop when there a no Rs in the month ............................................................................................................ sorry chaps...i wont be doig any rabbits for a while...will still go out and just take fox...no point thinning down to much....enjoy getting 50 a night....

well said sam glad someone nows there dogs they are still parson russells one at the back was only 5 months old there and the middle one is its mother touch wood they will not throw black and tans ...................................................................... i know my dogs mate...are they jack russel x westie x lakeland with a bit of suluki for stamina?????? GREAT DOGS EARTH...wheres the pick of the lurchers mate?????

went out tonight shot 6 rabbits and there was 3 pregnant...so i guess we wont be lamping or ferreting rabbits for a month or two.......it always make me sad at the end of the season but i guess its good managment not to clear the ground completely....am looking forward to next season already...

cz centre fires dont hold very much second hand value at all mate...i payed £400 for a winchester model 70 223 from west mid shooting ground and it had fired one shot..the blueing was still on the end of the firing pin, that came with 99 rounds.....the thing is if you want the rifle and plan to keep it who cares what you pay for it??? its what its worth to you...theres no getting away from it they are very good rifles..all of my rim fires are cz and i wouldnt have anything else.i target shoot and hunt with mine and i make people with very expensive kit look silly...........

look on guntrader.co.uk i would of thought £250 ish...my mate has one and they are brilliant..its not been cleaned for ten years we use it atleast three times a week and its very accurate......

what power will the rifle be??? i use a 177 with 26 ftp and it is brilliant out to 30 or 40 yards..shot placement is very important though...if you are going to be using 12 ftp i would go fo 22 because there is slightly more kinetic energy....you need to be able to hit a half inch target consistantly or you will be having bunnys running off injured....

......................................... my mate has a cz 527..it works very well with 40 gr v max...we reload our selves now i lobbed 6 inches off the barrel so we use a fast burning powder...its sound and devistates foxes...

my pit bull terrier used to do it to a bloke i didnt like very much..when the man tried to push him off the dog would snarl and show his teeth..it brought me great satisfaction and th dog a little pleasure..... ......i wouldnt worry about the pup he'll grow out of it.....

if your having a good days ferreting its like playing twister..theres rabbits bolting all over the place.you've got both feet blocking holes, trying to get a rabbit clear of a net to reset it and a ferret wondering off into the under growth...i want to be able to grab the ferret and stick it in my pocket without fear of being bitten.if i cant its got to go...

what ever 2 stroke engine you can lay your hands on...i use an old chains saw with a 2 inch stub of pipe welded over the exhaust so i can push a rubber pipe over it...chain and bar removed of coarse......i will say it isnt a relaxing days hunting with a chain saw running all day..im looking for a quite smoker because it does my head in with a chain saw reving like hell all day........
