i use a winchester m70 ....223....i was using winchester 55g soft point factory ammo.zeroed at 100 i was getting 7 inch drop at 200 now iv gone onto 40g vmax and they are brilliant.very flat out to 275..my rifle is very light so it helps on long walks round the fields...

i ended up with the dog i use the collar with.not through choice...my dog is an akita/husky/timber wolf if you read the breed books on akitas there recall is famous for being poor to say the least...i refused to use the collar untill i had it on my own arm to see the effect.(very painful).shocking my dog is far less painfull than it feeling the sharp end of my 12 bore for chasing our horses or the neighbours sheep..iv have six dogs in total and have little need to even use a leed with any of them even as a group the all come to heel sit and wait when told etc etc....the wolf x is a totally dif

we use a shock collar for recall on my wolf x bitch......if she is wearing it she is perfect....the collar we use has two buttons on the tranmitter the first is an audible beep at the collar and the second is a zap of electric...we have got the dog used to the beep rather than the electric now.the idea is that you buy another much cheaper coller just with a beeper..we havnt bothered..as long as the dog has the collar on (without batterys) she is fine....

we tried a box of barnes??? varment grenades....wouldnt group in any of the three rifles...4 inch group at 100 yards..meant to be really good in 22-250 though...we shot them into a metal tank and they do explode brilliantly....wished they had of worked in our rifles.....

23 24 would b in my eyes perfect what ya rekon if she's got what it takes an inch or so wont make much diferance....iv known a few small dogs with big hearts

.......................... no worries at all.....get some posts under your belt and if you can get somone to vouch that your not a muppit..you can come over your 125 miles away..my dogs catch..there not the best iv had but they do well..there's a couple of hanncock dogs i know of they do fine...

theres a bloke off hear that gave me a dog that does everything very well..i havnt posted about the dog because i was asked not to..he choose to keep a hancock bitch instead of the dog he gave me.....the man kept the best dog.....hancocks no fool and if his dogs where no good surely he wouldnt be in business after 25 years???

if its ok i would put baldie up for that job.he works in the industry and is messing with rifles and the law everyday...his knoladge far far out weighs mine...quite happy to back him up though..... our only differance of opinion is i think rugers are bloody awful.. just kidding dave

we always used clulite.i got a 170 and the beam is second to none..i ripped the wiring staight out from new and put my own in...the 170 runs a 1oo watt bulb and it hammers the battery.as the cluelite runs 50 watt and last a lot longer....iv got a cluelite with a deban dimmer and its perfect for 22lr...i fitted a deban dimmer on the 170 and it lasted hours then burnt out..clulite are very well made

iv just spoke to my father as regards your post..he is fao..its a load of rubbish..what happens if you live in london and stalk deer in scotland??? you need to get hold of the dept manager in your new area..chances are the foa you spoke dosnt have a clue about what he or she is talking about....baldie and everyone else is right what there saying...

i did a 3 shot group yesterday with a 35grain vmax using 26g accurate 2230 powder..wont bore you with seating depth etc...wasnt overly impressed with the group until my mate covered it with a ten pence piece....i recon youve got a four inch target when shooting a charlie and as long as you get them in the engine room there on there way to a better place...im tempted to chop my 223 in for a 6br but know very little about them.any info lads???

i always wondered why so many top smiths use remmi's for the base of there custom rifles....i guess i know now...i got a three shot group the size of a ten pence today at a 100 yard with my mates cz 222.....i was impressed with that.... good on you mate...

when i got my 223 i bought a ase utra jet z for it....my hmr had a sak ..we were out one night and my mate suggested i tried the ase on the hmr.the differance was amazing..sak mods on a 22lr are brilliant..on a hmr they arnt so good..i bought a second hand t8 for the 223 which cost me £100 so iv left the ase on the hmr..the differance a jet z makes compared to a sak isnt worth the extra £270....but for £100 i wouldnt change the ase for anything....for the money a sak moderators are exellent..i just dropped lucky on the t8 so it worked out well for me.......

mike norris every time...he's a master at what he does....he will build you a rifle to your budget and load develop it. his customer service is second to none...he is a shooter through and through..........if you want decent advice and no b*ll shit he is your man.........one word of caution he is busy and dosnt suffer fools....
