  1. DS- how much more discrete than a .22 air pistol can you get .No amount of "hush" will equal the quietness of an air pistol .Plus you got to think of trap damage .Mate has a hushed .410 but being used to a standard barrel ,I never get on with it well .Nothing against them ,just personal preference.
  2. Good on you mate .Put up the general area you are in and Im sure the offers will happen .
  3. If you do enough dog work then at some time you will be let down by a promising dog .The next step is what sorts out good dog men from messers in deciding why it never made the grade? .
  4. Mate -If my wife told me what I can and cannot drive then she would be sleeping in it :11:
  5. The ultimate go anywhere ,carry anything, good on diesel and sounds like a 4x4 should .Toyota hilux with 10 inch high lift kit ,15 inch wheels and alloys for the look good factor :11: Boy if only this truck could talk or perhaps not .
  6. You need to get to them before the soft law does mate .Slap them good .Hope your dad makes a full recovery .Regards foxdropper .
  7. If your using straw mate then it has to be wheat straw like byron said .Barley straw contains the husks which can work their way into the skin .If you have any sort of drainage linked to the kennels then any straw is a pain .It will block up drains for a past time unless you are careful .Like its been said ,do not top up old bedding with new straw as this hides a filth below which at the very least will make your dog stink .Changed regular its a good bedding .My dogs are still on boards as I only bed when it gets colder .I tend to use blankets which can be washed out and changed regular .
  8. Bought them both mate.No quarry at the dig site on either  .Cant understand a feckin word theyre saying .Some good footage of a bedlington drawing though .

  12. Do you know if a dog called "Ace" appears in the bloodline mate.
  13. Millet- You seem a sensible sort of lad judging by your posts but I think your a bit shortsighted on this one . For a LONG AND ACTIVE WORKING CAREER a dog needs the best food, free from artificial additives and shit. Its no coincidence that hounds are some of the most hardy ,complaint free dogs we have and they are all fed raw/whole carcass.Another point on the dry food feeding is that its not normal for a dog to drink vast amounts of water as they have to when fed dry .I know it helps flush them through but the raw diet does not require this.Dogs on raw drink when they are thirsty and not b
  14. Used to see a tramp on his way to and from cirencester to cheltenham years ago .He used to kip down in a barn on the estate .Harmless chap that used to cadge fags .Barn burned down one night and in the morning the fire brigade found what was left .They also found a VICTORIA CROSS around his neck .You got to wonder why some of them take to the road .
  15. If you dont mind looking down a 2" drainpipe then they are good .Bulky but good .
  16. Blue tooth attachment in the back of the computer, send pics off phone to it .Transfer to disc .Sounds easy but the blue tooth installation is not recommended by microsoft and therefore needs updating from the instalation disc every time I use it . Card reader better

  20. Complete foods are a direct result of todays lazy culture .Buy it in a bag ,tin ,frozen .Most of us havent the time to deal with raw feeds or the inclination to source it and store it .IMO the problem with complete is its too easy to pour out a bowl full and think the dogs getting everything it needs .A high protein diet is not the answer for all year round feeding as different work loads require different amounts of protein to sustain and repair muscle etc .Less active periods of say height of summer require only maintenance feeding .Dogs find it hard to deal with excess protein and it is thi
  21. The best time for these traps has come and gone mate .Odd ones and twos can be caught in the autumn but the killing time is in the spring when the birds are territorial and will not telerate others in their patch .Used to be lawful to over-winter a call bird for use as a start in the spring but not 100% on that now .
  22. Grow up fox-dropper, you prat. :realmad: Can you not let the man rest in peace? What do you get out of slagging a dead person off? SATISFACTION.You like many others only knew what you did about the man through his books.Slagging off-Feck me .The man spent a lifetime of slagging off working dog men to promote the" ultimate"terrier .
  23. Foxdropper ........Good shooting What hardware are you using ?........i see your not tempted to put a mod on your rifle or is one pending I know it can be frustrating having a permission overlamped .........One of mine is subject to the so called dog walking brigade with a lightforce and all the diffusers ..........Unlike the above situation these have no right to be on this land and as a result i now shoot on it at the crack of Dawn . Mate-Its a .222 ,brno CZ.The moderator thing has, until recently never been an issue but with todays climate and attitude to shooting ,the var
