  1. Either do all that, or risk having the dog injuring itself, would you like to jump over barb wire using minimal light? I think not. Mate -are you for real on this one-Lift a dog over :11: Jumping a gate for a lurcher of any size is childs play .Barbed wire fences are usually lower still .In 20 years of dog running I have never had a dog damaged by jumping .My lurcher will jump a hedge if I ask her .The dogs eyes are far superior to ours in low light mate and precision manouvres more co-ordinated .I would not wait for a chap out with me who had to lift and mollycoddle his dog .He would f
  2. Had a 20" lurcher that jumped 6 foot panels in her quest for cats .Nothing worse than a whining dog at a gate when your lamping though .Every effort to be made into getting a pup to jump . Blando -From what I saw of your little dog ,you are underestimating her .Ring me and well get out sometime .
  3. Kanes right mate .Another thing to do is to leave a motor running in the last place you saw the dog ,with the door left open ,while you try the earths with a lamp .Good luck
  4. So if you change your tyres to rugged offroad type's it will magically double the amount of space you have inside the smaller diatsu's/ suzuki's/rav4's and whatever other small 4x4's that people use... thus giving you plenty of space for dog's and terrier box's.. ..aswell as giving you more power for towing and carrying heavy load's.. . Millet Where does it say it does any of that Millet .You strike me as the driver of a hair dresser truck though . A little suzuki something with a fur soft-top  .Hilux all the way .
  5. The safest option for you mate is to decline the offer. Some mange infections are the very devil to sort out .
  6. First class that mate .Expect he'll do the biz this winter .
  7. Any chance of a side on view please mate .
  8. Whatever the make ,model ,any 4x4 is only as good as the tyres on it .
  9. Living in gods own country as I do :11: we see it all ,everyday, everynight but take it all for granted .
  10. DS- how much more discrete than a .22 air pistol can you get .No amount of "hush" will equal the quietness of an air pistol .Plus you got to think of trap damage .Mate has a hushed .410 but being used to a standard barrel ,I never get on with it well .Nothing against them ,just personal preference.
  11. Good on you mate .Put up the general area you are in and Im sure the offers will happen .
  12. If you do enough dog work then at some time you will be let down by a promising dog .The next step is what sorts out good dog men from messers in deciding why it never made the grade? .
  13. Mate -If my wife told me what I can and cannot drive then she would be sleeping in it :11:
  14. The ultimate go anywhere ,carry anything, good on diesel and sounds like a 4x4 should .Toyota hilux with 10 inch high lift kit ,15 inch wheels and alloys for the look good factor :11: Boy if only this truck could talk or perhaps not .
  15. You need to get to them before the soft law does mate .Slap them good .Hope your dad makes a full recovery .Regards foxdropper .
  16. If your using straw mate then it has to be wheat straw like byron said .Barley straw contains the husks which can work their way into the skin .If you have any sort of drainage linked to the kennels then any straw is a pain .It will block up drains for a past time unless you are careful .Like its been said ,do not top up old bedding with new straw as this hides a filth below which at the very least will make your dog stink .Changed regular its a good bedding .My dogs are still on boards as I only bed when it gets colder .I tend to use blankets which can be washed out and changed regular .
  17. Bought them both mate.No quarry at the dig site on either  .Cant understand a feckin word theyre saying .Some good footage of a bedlington drawing though .

  21. Do you know if a dog called "Ace" appears in the bloodline mate.
  22. Millet- You seem a sensible sort of lad judging by your posts but I think your a bit shortsighted on this one . For a LONG AND ACTIVE WORKING CAREER a dog needs the best food, free from artificial additives and shit. Its no coincidence that hounds are some of the most hardy ,complaint free dogs we have and they are all fed raw/whole carcass.Another point on the dry food feeding is that its not normal for a dog to drink vast amounts of water as they have to when fed dry .I know it helps flush them through but the raw diet does not require this.Dogs on raw drink when they are thirsty and not b
  23. Used to see a tramp on his way to and from cirencester to cheltenham years ago .He used to kip down in a barn on the estate .Harmless chap that used to cadge fags .Barn burned down one night and in the morning the fire brigade found what was left .They also found a VICTORIA CROSS around his neck .You got to wonder why some of them take to the road .
  24. If you dont mind looking down a 2" drainpipe then they are good .Bulky but good .
