  1. So would you breed these offspring again or go back to the original ,just curious .
  2. "Some kind of dove ".Shouldnt be out on live quarry if you cant identify the thing .
  3. Ive seen a fair few terrier breeds crossed with another breed on here and I am at a loss as to why people do it ?Isnt there enough decent blood within each breed to keep them true or am I so blinkered by the blacks that I know of no good reason to outcross to another breed .The only reason I can come up with is laziness on the part of the breeder for not searching out a suitable match within the breed and making do with a mates down the road ?
  4. I think this is a very interesting thread .No clear verdict yet ,mainly down to personal preference but it makes you think about it when you hear of accidents .Personally I never take the collars off .

  8. Shot this buck this morning on a farm nearby .It had [when alive] a bent neck which caused it to walk with its neck outstretched and to one side .Ive seen and watched this buck for a while and it was healthy but always destined to be a cull .The head set is above average and would of made a good stock buck if it hadnt been for the neck .On grassing it I found the neck was movable and not frozen as first thought ,probably a muscle spasm thing .Age estimated at 3 years old .
  9. Cheers for the tidy up Chris . The litter is my digging partners mate but yes I am having one .
  10. The bent neck we spoke about ,although the neck is rather straighter in death .Must have been a muscle spasm. Finally got him this morning after a long stalk through some standing beans .
  11. A mates litter of nuttals.Only 3 in the litter so all well fed. The bitch .A nuttal of outstanding finding ability and 100% stayer . [Thread Sorted - CJ]
  12. The funniest encounter I had with a badger was when out shooting rabbits with the .22 with a mate .I shot a rabbit at a fair distance and unfortunately never killed it outright. My mate ran to it before it got down a bury in the hedge and arrived at the rabbit the same time as a badger came out the hedge to grab the rabbit .My mate grabbed the rabbit and a tug of war ensued for a second or two before the badger realized his mistake and retreated into the hedge !Funny to watch . :11:
  13. GOOD HUNTING ALL WOODGA  Is that a HUMMER you are driving woodga .If not I bet it was when you got home :11: Dont they ever stink when piled up .Good on the two of you .
  14. Either do all that, or risk having the dog injuring itself, would you like to jump over barb wire using minimal light? I think not. Mate -are you for real on this one-Lift a dog over :11: Jumping a gate for a lurcher of any size is childs play .Barbed wire fences are usually lower still .In 20 years of dog running I have never had a dog damaged by jumping .My lurcher will jump a hedge if I ask her .The dogs eyes are far superior to ours in low light mate and precision manouvres more co-ordinated .I would not wait for a chap out with me who had to lift and mollycoddle his dog .He would f
  15. Had a 20" lurcher that jumped 6 foot panels in her quest for cats .Nothing worse than a whining dog at a gate when your lamping though .Every effort to be made into getting a pup to jump . Blando -From what I saw of your little dog ,you are underestimating her .Ring me and well get out sometime .
  16. Kanes right mate .Another thing to do is to leave a motor running in the last place you saw the dog ,with the door left open ,while you try the earths with a lamp .Good luck
  17. So if you change your tyres to rugged offroad type's it will magically double the amount of space you have inside the smaller diatsu's/ suzuki's/rav4's and whatever other small 4x4's that people use... thus giving you plenty of space for dog's and terrier box's.. ..aswell as giving you more power for towing and carrying heavy load's.. . Millet Where does it say it does any of that Millet .You strike me as the driver of a hair dresser truck though . A little suzuki something with a fur soft-top  .Hilux all the way .
  18. The safest option for you mate is to decline the offer. Some mange infections are the very devil to sort out .
