Nothing to do with pheasants but few years ago there was a roe doe charging people from a crop of rape .She had a kid hidden therein . The final straw was when she upset a horse carrying a young rider .I was told she had to go but fate was on her side when the farm lab caught the kid ,alive and they were relocated it to some set aside.The doe was never a nuisance again and the kid definitely survived as one of the grooms saw it daily .Wildlife never cease to amaze .Reminds me of the reeves pheasant we had on a shoot once that followed us all day whistling as only they do . -

Your a lucky man to have access to fallow mate .Loads round me but all sewn up with syndicates charging stupid money . Cracking buck mate ,theft very rarely reach such size here in Wiltshire .

1 of the 3 been nicked mate ,not a happy bunny at all .They weren't big money luckily but enough ,hence the quality of the footage .I still can't find out how to get video on here from it .They are from the states but charge through USB so upload the same but photo bucket doesn't support the whatever!. Make sure you get a decent cam mate and that it uses a format you understand and that its positioned very discreet .I have a feeling mine was nicked by a fellow hunter using night vision .I'm no techie but I'm sure the nv picks up the beam triggered by movement on the trail cam at night .Got on

Nothing wrong with a dog showing in my eyes ,unless its come off one of course .Until quarry is located there's several reasons why a dog could show .If stuff is going round and round then I think terriers get a bit scent blocked and return to the surface for a fresh start at the keenest hole .We have a place here that runs to maybe 15 holes in a field .If a terrier enters the side near a tree and doesn't find despite marking it, it will be out but will drop in further over and be on ,we are certain this place doesn't all link up as its happened time and time again .We've all had dogs that waf

Ready Made Line Or Started From Nothing

I know of several lads who now have a decent line from scatter bred beginnings through hard work and hard culling .When I was gifted my start I hadn't a clue what a line was or how to go about it but luck and a good group of mentors saw to it I soon appreciated what I had and the way forward .I sometimes think I was cheated out of all the heartache years lol, others had through trying this and that ,I saw it .My advice to anyone starting out would be to say nothing ,source some decent stock and work it .Only you will know whether something is worth breeding and don't just rely on a name for b -
Recent years has seen me out on my own more and more .The lads I used to knock about with have either drifted away from it or moved, a far cry from my beginnings where there would be 3 of us .Lot to said for solitude mind and let's face it ,help is only a phone call away should a situation arise .The gear has to be tailored to suit though as lugging both a graft and thin spade is out unless I'm on the quad .

Sorry for being a bit sarcastic mate .Traipsed the fields today only to find 4 of my spots been dug by the hunt yesterday and badly too so was in a pisser when i got in lol. Personally ,if for whatever reason a bitch jacks i dont breed again or from any of her offspring .Just something ive always done ,might be shite but id like to think theres a bit to it and has resulted in 75% or more success rate in litters ..At my age ,something ive always done aint going to change now lol.Hope your season is better than mine at the moment .
