    Used to be a lad did a few seasons for the Beuafort ,nick named Rommo ,big lad from Wales I believe who kept a very short bodied ,box headed type of terrier in black or chocolate .Anybody got the type or remember same ,Not unlike NS but much better looking lol.

    The heart of the Beaufort is all exactly like that though it's called brash here .More dence the deeper you dig and tightly packed to almost need a kango.Got a pick of me ,Rommo and 'Arthur ' in a dig near knockdown quarry at 14 ft .Whatever happened to it I don't know or both those lads come to think of it .Good times.

    The reason why some some won't go back to the breeder is the very reason those lads arnt gifted many terriers .It's not rocket science to know that the person with the most knowledge of the type is the lad who' bred and worked the line .Annoys when some disegard the breeder in favour of doing it their way then rubbish the type for their f**k up .If you want decent stock from a decent lad ,do the decent thing and ask his opinion on whats best for the future ,otherwise stick with your scatterbreds and muddle on .

    Nuttal and wheeler started with same root stock mate and my first Razor dog from Wheeler was just 2 generations away from the proper divide if I'm told the truth .The Stevens stuff was never blended with mine but kept as separate using my Fly dog over N S bitches as a base .Hope this clears that up .

    But would you take someone else' word for it that both the dog and man were decent or would you want to see for yourself .It sort of smacks of scatterbreeding to me unless the bitch was related in which case I'd defo know about it .Lads using this stud this year and matey down the road next year have no vision for the future taking a gamble on a stud just because he works ,not saying its' wrong but not the way I do things .

    If the bitch was decent and local I would know about it .If the bitch was nothing to do with what I'd bred id like to meet the man and spend time on a shovel before letting him have the service.Nothing to do with up myself but everything to do with what happens to those pups once born .To give out services without first knowing the man to me is lazy and IMO does nothing for the scene as a whole .Just an honest answer .

    Summers one thing but whole different ball game in depth of winter .Forcing yourself out of a warm double lined sleeping bag is defo far from waking up refreshed under the stars in summer .Done it once in Devon years ago .Better no to sleep and go straight through .

    Don't use the acco drains mate unless in the kennel itself for wash down .The smell of piss will drive you mad in open drains .Does the storm water go to a soakaway or main sewer ?If it' soakaway you are pushing your luck with the amount of water you are expecting it to take .I would maybe dig another soakaway nearer to the kennels as deep as possible over the water table if any and pipe it there in sealed pipes .If you use acco drains in the kennel make sure you put a u bend, pea trap between the outflow and underground pipe or the smell will be rank in the summer .Put a pic up of your finish
